Hello lovely ladies, I do believe this is my first post this week and I haven't read the thread apart from the last couple of pages. Its a bit late now but I'll be thinking of Johanne this evening. Safe and speedy..
Hugs to Hev and anyone that needs one today.
I've been getting back out into the garden after work this week and even if I'm only managing a bucket of weeds a day it's progress and I'm getting my groove back relaxing-wise! I haven't looked at today's list but here and now I'm going to commit to level three. Wherever it is it needs it. I had Mr Messy over for a couple of days and it got..well..messy.
Off to take a look and crack on then heroes at 9. Hope the second series isn't a dissapointment.

dusty - first thought, a golden leaved philadelphus. I thought you'd want something deciduous, and although it's a bit limey in the shade, it scorches in the sun. You can cut out the flowered branches yearly once established, so it can be kept to the size you want. I've grown it on clay soil. In fact, I think I may be talking myself into getting another!
I have a massive mahonia, and I'm going to cut it back savagely in a few weeks, to reclaim a few square yards of border. I'd take it out completely, but it does look nice in winter, and has masses of character.
More hugs for hev. The sun will shine again for you, I promise.
mudbath - I felt like dragging in complete strangers to admire my work when I cleared and painted the understairs cupboard last year. In fact, I think I did...I'm still trying to think of a reason why I might need that filebox that nicki bought. I love stationery. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

Thanks Crafty, but I think we were just a smidgen too late in getting the details on line. My for sale sign only went up at 3.30 as well. So no-one so far, which I did think might be the case. I'm sitting with my pile of Lovely Posh Houses mags dreaming about the extension I'm sticking on the bung. If I ever get the land sorted....*sigh*
Hey, women all over the world! We have Denise in NZHave I forgotten anyone else?

Serena - I have no idea what you just said, but it sounded fab!!! I cant wait to show you all pics of my new garden. It is huge! The first job will be to plant some big thick green trees (I cant remember what my aunt called them) for privacy and noise reductionI will have to get a landscape gardener to plan the garden as its so bitty. The old man who owned the bung didnt pay for anything! Most of the plants and shrubs have come from my aunt and uncle's garden. Whenever they were having a clear out, he'd mooch down and ask them for the stuff they were clearing out. Very OS at heart :A

[SIZE=+1]Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
