pigpen - there must be something in the water. Thanks doctor - will make sure my OH hears your prescription of an early night and a foot massage (that was what you said, right?) :)

  • tia - Not that it will probably help but everytime I am on that bit of road I see people still travelling at the old limit - I think there is a distinct lack of signage for a reason  Did you go the whole way along? It is just they took down the dummy cameras and there is only one at the duchhouse roundabout and one just after the crossroads bit at Hayes I am almost sure The 1st day of the new limit and I flashed a chap that was going at the old limit but he turned off at Symington - so he only went through one camera  not sure if that gets you a ticket or not.

Pizza bases rising so I will go clear the last few bits from the dining room so we can eat in there tonight...

7 hours and it will all be over :rotfl:

I need some flora and for the first time in 6 months I don't have to go all the way to the big tesco. They've opened up a tesco express five minutes walk from my house. Now, normally i don't like the monopoly they have but the last supermarket we had on the same premises only ever sold pasta and pickled beetroot as they never paid their supplies bills. So, i'm going to go and get flora and a bottle of wine.

On the shredding and filing front....i've cleared about a quarter of the floor space. Can you tell me if i'm being stupid here but i'm putting his books on the bookshelf instead of on the floor. Does anyone think i'm daft:rotfl:

    Evening all
Johanne – I have everything crossed for you
Hev – big hugs on your loss
To everyone else who's feeling poorly - hugs and chicken soup

Mudbath - . I think I need retraining as an orf operation. Incidentally, do I get a good package for working for you...sick pay?
You can pay me when I'm sick and I'm always interested in good packages that come my way - the bigger the better and anything that benefits me :D:D:D:D:pDusty - no need to apologise about Buster - purely voluntary. You can all stand down now until Monday as I'm off tomorrow, but Buster will be on so you can peek at my car on the drive if you wish:cool:

Right, I have a plan for tomorrow/the weekend which goes like this:
    • Finish painting kitchen
    • Muck out and clean car - it needs to go to the garage and have the wheel balancing/ tracking looked at as it's really wobbly at 70mph and it's too embarrassing to take into the garage in its current state.
    • Do paye year end stuff before Hector at HMRC wraps my knuckles
    • Do filing
    • Wash, wash and wash (haven't done any all week)
    • Ebay - put more stuff up
    • Plant seeds
    • Do something with the ironing pile

Johanne wohoooo I am sure Nicki will let us know when the little lady arrives, my very best wishes :D

hev, sorry to hear about your cat, big hugs xx

Hugs for everyone else, I promise to try to catch up a little later. I had to go out this morning and get DS1 some new glasses, he'd snapped the others last night in a strop about having to be outside. Anyway when I called (Tesco) opticians, I asked when his eye test was due, 'oh erm July 2007' well we had no reminder, he's had replacement frame since then without them mentioning it, no wonder he was saying they 'not work' grrrr. So took him to vision exp in the metro centre, much better service, they can also do their awkward prescriptions in a few hours, no having to wait 2+ weeks :D so think we'll stick with using there. It did take a little longer than the 2 hours so went and got him some school trousers (others I bought were too small) goggles for swimming and I had a look round a few other shops. Left DP here with DS2 to do some of the assignment and he's done none of it then gone to work early when I got back to get out of doing it.

Great result with my Mam's car repair that I have been fighting for her (she just rolls over and plays dead thinking they know best!), they charged her for a repair when it was 4 weeks out of it's warranty. They at first said they'd only refund the parts cost but after I scared the life out of him with Sales of Goods Act areas he was breeching, told him I'd advise he took legal advice on the laws he was breaking because we fully intended on taking him to court and to add to the refund expenses and interest incurred on her credit card :rotfl: I'm mean, he's refunded the lot :D so Mam is over the moon as she's got the money back (over £200)

Right boys swimming time so I best get them dressed, DS2s starkers, DS1 just in his shorts, might leave them just in swimmers and tshirts to go there as according to the thermometer in my car it's 16 degrees out there, take clothes to get changed into (makes life easier) Will hopefully catch up with you all later....
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200

Nicki - try Bravissimo if you are anywhere near one. They are remarkably tactful and really used to measuring a *ahem* curvy lady. They have some gorgeous stuff though are not cheap. Perhaps treat yourself to one from there and, well, ebay is my friend...

I am 38 JJ. I know how you feel.

So missing the old girl - she was a wedding present from evil SIL which just adds a shine to Sunday. I've sat here in pieces all day. House like the before on a prozac advert. I've drank a lot of diet coke.

But did manage to get past my paralysis to get DS out for a little walk which is a big deal for me, especially as I have to hump the pushchair up and down a load of steep steps. Yesterday Shadow tried to get out to see if it was sunny...

    Thanks for all the hugs.
    Always another chapter
