Oh pap. I have just started the hob nob recipe and realised I don't have any golden syrup left. Could I use honey or maple syrup instead

Is the recipe on here as I'll have a look and tell you what I think?

It has already cost him a replacement toaster, kettle and bin when he has headbutted/kicked them becuase of the pain. He has eventually agreed to have the op done in June as the dentist said he would do it at the surgery instead of him going to hospital

    8oz sugar
    8oz porridge oats
    8oz margarine
    1tbsp golden syrup
    1tbsp hot water
    1/2 tsp bic soda
mix flour, oats and sugar, melt marg, syrup and water in a pan stir in bic soda and add to dry mix, mix well, make smallish balls and put on greased tray and flatten slightly with a fork, 180oc for 15 mins, cool on the tray, you just want them golden in oven not brown

prettypennies As its only 1 tbsp of golden syrup and lots of sugar it shouldn't matter if you swap to maple syrup or honey. It should all still hold together.

A good evening flying here, I am not going to add to my list yet as not too sure what tomorrow may bring, we have been waiting since Saturday for the bridging agreement forms to come and as yet they havent, OH managed to get a copy emailed today so I need to hand them in tomorrow, unfortunately I am working until 12 so hoping to head over to Edinburgh then and then come back over here to collect the girls from school. We need everything in place as we should be buying on Thursday, not panicking yet but may get a bit anxious tomorrow should the bank need anything else.

If time tomorrow I will post a list if not it will be catch up Thursday.

    Evening everyone.

Just managed to catch up on todays pages.

Its been a busy day and Im shattered. Went to the gym then to see mum. Took her out for first time this year as the weather was lovely. She really enjoyed it. Then went to my voluntary job. Friend picked me up at 5 and we went for a walk along the prom.

Tonight Ive vacummed, ironed and tidied up. Will wash the kitchen floor before bed. Looks like I will be flying from my list this week.

    Pink Fairy Happy Birthday.

Witchypoo Hugs and hope you enjoy the concert.

SSL Congrats on your house purchase.

Pigpen Hugs for you too. Sounds like you have had a hard time trying to get support for DS2.

Hugs also for anyone else who needs them.

*sits down at laptop panting still*

Just run for 48 minutes and 39 seconds!!! Done in now - off for a bath and an early night.

Pigpen - hope you're feeling ok about the appointment today - bet you're relieved that something is being done finally - shouldn't have to be a struggle for things like this in this day and age.

Prettypennies - hobnobs sound good - think I might have to make some this week.

mrsmh - how good is it having a new computer - I was dead excited when we got our laptop last year - had only had second hand ones from my Dad before

Jill - will pm you back tomorrow.

Off to bathe my sweaty body now (nice thought heh!)

    Night all.
