OH does eat a lot of snacks tho, crisps, biscuits, sweets etc and that add up so I am going to try and convince him to eat homemade biscuits etc. He also likes to bulk buy on stuff that is on offer but I think this is a false economy

I learnt early on with my two that if there WERE biscuits/crisps/snacks etc. in the house they'd eat them. But, if they weren't there they would forage for something else like a bowl of cereal/apple/orange etc. So I haven't bought that sort of thing (apart from crisps v. recently) for years!

  • I'm heading for bed as well. A quick mop in the kitchen and LR. I'm too knackered to do a list, but I've done everything in the bedroom except that blooming light fitting and the dead wasp.

Night night all and thanks again for all your good wishes. Its such a lovely, friendly place xx

we have some pets (kind of). Well tadpoles anyway :T
I think they are gross!! Hope to goodness DS doesnt turn out to be one of these boys that likes worms and spiders and stuf.. yuk I can hardly even look at the word spider without goosebumps.
Anyway DS is mildly interested in them but not much, DD is the same but she is a total wuss and I know when they get a big bigger and more froggy she will freak and hate them poor wee soul LOL

Well my DSs acquired their tarantula just over a week ago and we have nicknamed it rocky. Because it is about as active as a rock!! So far it hasn't eaten anything and basically does very little. My sister can't stand spiders but she is not the least bit phased by Salsa (a.k.a rocky) I think it is because it doesn't scurry like little spiders do.

Spiders don't bother me but earwigs

Its a sticky at the top of the OS board, its really simple, for the first month just keep all your receipts for your food and total up what you have spent. Use this as a guide and reduce it month on month. I'm aiming for £200 for this month(see signature) and i will try and reduce it next month again. You get loads of good recipe ideas from everyone on the board too.

You lot have inspired me to give the GC a go again for May. I did it tail end of 2006 (god it ws soooolong ago) with great success but it all fell apart when I got pg last year and DH did the shopping for a bit, I never got back on track and things have stayed carp since then. DD is out of nappies now so thats a big saving for a start. Thanks for the inspiration :D
