Thanks embb, DP running event on Sunday we'd had one lined up but then find out he can't get a south tyneside permit and needs one because it's in that area. So we're hunting for one which can cater at short notice for SUNDAY!!!! Hence now it's a mad dash. Thanks for the info, didn't know there was a Wilkos in Shields :D
One day I might be more organised...........

    Morning all

Not opening the windows to let in the Spring here, it's cold and raining :(

One load of washing spread round indoors.

Kitchen: wiped all cupboard fronts, worktops, windowsills, tablecloth, fridge and freezer, small appliances, washing machine, shelves inside fridge. Cleaned sink and draining board and drainer. Wiped front of cooker and hob (still not doing oven, maybe I will when I get my new one....).

Dusted living room and computer desk then vacuumed right through downstairs. Emptied all the bins ready for black bin day tomorrow.

Had various bits of bread left over so I've made a bread pudding and got a new loaf out of the freezer. There's only so much toast you can eat!

Hope you get things moving this week Johanne, you're free to get started now :)

    Well done tiddles.

I'm 55 and my "children" are 23, 25 and 27, so I'm old enough to be mother to a lot of you!

    Coffee time I think.

Oh meant to add, got weighed this morning :D Last week I'd put 3lbs on and I felt awful as I couldn't understand why except maybe chippy twice that week :o This morning I weighed in at 14st 2lbs, so I've lost a total of 4lbs this past week :D But only 1lb more that I had already lost before last weeks weight gain, but its a pound in the right direction. That tattoo is looking closer ;):j:j

Time for music me thinks since next door has just put his dance music on loud I think I'll blast him a bit with Draconian :D:rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi Sharon,

I did with the table in the kitchen. It had been previously varnished. I got some fine sand paper, rubbed it down and then simply painted it with a polyeurothane (spelling might be wrong) varnish - let that dry and then gave it a second coat. The p. varnish is heat resistant and lasts ages (did it initially about 25 years ago and then gave it another coating about 2 years ago)

Sharon - BF did the same with my dressing table which was in a bit of a state, and it came up beautifully. I have no idea what kind of wood either!

Right kitchen and dining room finished. Just waiting for WM to finish then apart from lunch and dinner I'm all done.
Cup of tea and then I'm getting on with my website - haven't done anything whilst on holiday cause DH hogged the laptop so I am so behind.
