I am a moderator for the Consumer Action Group,
I have knowledge of people who have been helped by Watsons Solicitors, including people who would have lost their homes had it not been for them
yes you cant please everyone all the time i accpet that
but the sad thing here is, people who are slating them do not know the full story, if they did they would understand
As for the chap who signed the CFA, i suggest you read it
the CFA covers the solicitors fees for work done, it does not however cover the disbursements, dibs are payable by the client unless there is pre funding arrangements in place, in this case there is not so the client has to pay their own fees, if they want the case pushed to court
sorry but thats a fact of life,
With respect, you say that if people new the full story they would not slate Watsons, well how about Watsons being honest, telling us the facts, and answering the phone, letters and emails sent to them! They agreed to take on our cases I have a letter proving the fact from 2years ago, it is not our job to feel sorry for them, they are solicitors therefore surely they would be wise to check out people like BBCredit before accepting business off them? It is not our problem if they were not paid enough? We have all paid out money due to the fact we were told Watsons where good solicitors that got results! They are far from that and I know of not one person other than yourself who says any different!0 -
Morning posters.
Just reading back through a few of the latest comments and I see that I might be missing a trick here. If I am following this correctly then BBCredit have passed over some, if not all, of the cases to other organisations, Watsons seem to be prevalently mentioned here. Is there anyone reading this that is in a position to clarify the current trading status of BBCredit, basically I want to know if they have shut up shop?
As for the poster, IMPNT, who felt it acceptable to make the bold statement about "fools and their money" I suggest a short course in diplomacy. If it was your intention to incite some sort of response in your Trollish way I am afraid all you achieved from me was a heart felt disdain, more fool you.
It is one thing to have been duped by a Grifter, it is quite another to feel you have been duped by a professional, registared, legal organisation. Whilst I may not be the sort to shout and stamp my fury with the system is no less focused.
Many thanks to all of those who have shared their experiances and offer help.
With reference as to whether or not Buy Bye Credit are still trading.. according to the Ministry of Justice last week, "yes they are - at the moment".
If you search Buy Bye Credit on the Companies House website, there are 2 listed - Buy Bye Credit & Buy Bye Credit (Northern). Both have failed to submit accounts. They are obviously not legit.
Solomon Lloyd is also registered at the same addresses as Buy Bye Credit. I have an email from Natalie Slater, on behalf of BBC, that shows a Solomon Lloyd email address at the bottom & also the same from Alex Slater so they all work for that company aswell!
Does no-one live in Birmingham who can check out the addresses?!!
Also if you search for Roy Melvin Slater on 192.com (which shows the electoral roll) you can get information on the companies he is registered as director of.. although you do have to pay.0 -
Im neither
Check my skype icon you will see that
Just because i disagree with you you want to openly try to discredit me, clearly you are a silly person
You seem to have your fingers in many many pies. Mr... pt2537

All of your coments sounds rather the same as BBC's Main man? But yours was mostly from 2007.
So eather these CROOCKS read lots of forums of yours. then copied you word for word.. To rip people off!
Or maybe you know them?
Maybe trained them? Then they lost the plot, got greedy, and gone astray? Leaving your Mr Watson with a bad name?
Is this" I am a moderator for the (Consumer Action Group)".
The same one as advertised on BBCs Web site?
Maybe im out of order but you seem know more than anyone about this stuff?
Any response would be Appreciated....

I was foolish enough to think there was an easy way out of repaying £22000 of credit card debt built up over three years after a Divorce, I heard a Radio advertising Buy Bye credit who said they with the help of the consumer credit act could clear credit cards if taken out before 2004, I paid them £2400 cash the last of all my savings, I paid this in December 2008, I have had one letter since then saying they were handing me over to a firm of solicitors called Watsons in Llandudno who were taking my case in june 2009, Its all a Con Buy Bye Credit are Liars, theifs and Conmen, they are under Investigation by the ministry of Justice, I wrote to them 24 times asking for my money back, they dont even answer your calls or letters, Roy Slatter the managing director told me on the only time I got to speak to them by pretending to be a new Mug, said he would shut the company down soon so its not worth even trying to get your money back, I cant tell how much I anger I have towards these people, they are nothing more than Scum
Please take note0 -

While trawling the net looking for info, I did come across a link to a website where some guy was recommending BBC & said that he rented an office to them however when I clicked it, the link had expired! Yes, someone must know them or live near their 'office' to be able to confirm whether or not they are trading out of business premises.
They're all on Facebook.. the whole Slater clan.. & I did check to see whether I happened to have any 'mutual friends' who I could ask for info. Unfortunately luck wasn't on my side on that one.
I had a call from the Ministry of Justice late last week to say that they no longer believe BBC to be trading & that they have reason to believe they are being taken over by a different company.
They said as soon as they find them, they will let me know where they are so I'll keep you posted!0 -
I have just found out that [TEXT DELETED] is now working on behalf of a company called Unfair Credit Direct.
This company has apparently taken over Buy Bye Credit!!!!
Their business name is INDIVIDUAL CREDIT SOLUTIONS LIMITED. Unfair Credit Direct is a trading name.
I will be contacting the Ministry of Justice today to advise them.0 -

I spoke to someone today from Unfair Credit Direct who assures me they have no involvement whatsoever with the Slater family.
They've said that Buy Bye Credit have basically gone bust.
The only contact details they have for BBC are the 202 Bradford Rd address & the 0845 number.
She was adamant that BBC are no longer trading.
It would appear that Solomon Lloyd are still trading..0
