Please, please, take note of this. I was foolish enough to think there was an easy way out of repaying £22000 of credit card debt built up over three years after a Divorce, I heard a Radio advertising Buy Bye credit who said they with the help of the consumer credit act could clear credit cards if taken out before 2004, I paid them £2400 cash the last of all my savings, I paid this in December 2008, I have had one letter since then saying they were handing me over to a firm of solicitors called Watsons in Llandudno who were taking my case in june 2009, Its all a Con Buy Bye Credit are Liars, theifs and Conmen, they are under Investigation by the ministry of Justice, I wrote to them 24 times asking for my money back, they dont even answer your calls or letters, Roy Slatter the managing director told me on the only time I got to speak to them by pretending to be a new Mug, said he would shut the company down soon so its not worth even trying to get your money back, I cant tell how much I anger I have towards these people, they are nothing more than Scum
Please take note0 -
Earlier this year a company called Buy Bye Credit offered to clear my debts. I paid them £1600 (I know I was utterly stupid......I know that now!) needles to say, I still have my debt plus an additional loss of £1600 currently being held by "Buy Bye Credit". The tel number puts you through to Solomon Lloyd (press 1 for solomon lloyd and 2 buy bye credit) no-one is answering my calls or emails. Bye Bye Sixteen Hundred Quid! I am considering it a "stupid tax". PLEASE do not get involved with these shysters!
I to was ripped off, please please contact the claims management regulators at the ministry of Justice and complain, the managing director goes by the name of Roy Slater0 -
Anyone who has had dealings with Buy Bye credit, no doubt you have not heard from them in Months, thats because you have been conned, Contact the Claims management regulators at the ministry of justice and complain, I only went with them because I thought it would be safe being regulated by them. £2200 down and not a hope of getting my money back.

maybe you should have all used the money to reduce what you owe rather than trying to get out of what you owe.
You borrowed the money, you should pay it back0 -

they are nothing more than Scum
Are they any worse than someone who borrows money and then tries to avoid paying anything back??
They appear to have ripped you off for only 10% of what you were trying to rip others off for.
Pot...Kettle ???Beware of imitations e.g. Robert Sterling0 -

I for one am glad you got ripped off.
If you borrow money you should at least make your best efforts to pay it back.
Hope this serves as a lesson to others.
Sorry, but that is the way I see it.
I will now go and get my hard hat on.0 -

when i was in deep poo, so many leeches appeared out of nowhere to claim to 'clear my debts', find me loans, all while demanding an up front fee.
I told them to p * * * off :rotfl:
people
Please steer clear off all these cowboys that think they can offer you a magic solution to your problems. Go speak to a CAB, join your local credit union, be honest with your creditors and yourselfShe LEFT me, she LIED, and she made me foot the BILL ! :mad:0 -
Don't you just love these twerps who say ' If you borrowed the money pay it back"?
I have a very robust sense of responsibility, I have never ripped anyone off and have always been a model citizen...boo hoo you might say, how boring...but....how many of you righteous characters posting here on this thread with your moralistic lecture would challenge a parking ticket if you got one if it legally wasn't right?
Well convert that into being thrown out onto the streets by some egostistical finance company hell bent on getting a repossession on your house when their agreement doesn't give them the legal right to do so....eh? How many of you would just put your hands up and say " Well we owe it so out we go" Sorry, you are stupid gits if that's what you do - you'll go fight a £40 parking ticket, but you'll come on here complaining about people fighting to keep their homes. What you lot don't understand is that hundreds of thousands of you have agreements with banks and finance companies that are not legal to enforce, whether you had the money or not makes no difference - the morals go out the window when someone tries to enforce something which they have no legal right to do - just like a burglar entering your home - if they have no right to enter, baseball bat around the ears protecting me and mine - sorry, you lose your rights once you're in!
So, reading what is on this thread I get the feeling many have been taken in by these claims companies, rogues on the make- more fool you for getting taken in, but I also detect a number of you who have a few grand to gamble on trying to get out of paying. If you didn't know your agreement was unenforceable- don't gamble on a conman trying to tell you otherwise, pay it to your creditors as one person said until you are sure. This PT bloke above sounds like he knows what he's doing (if you're a bloke forgive me if you're not) stick with people like him and you're on a safe bet and there are a number of websites totally free to give you an idea if you have a claim long before jumping on the greed wagon thinking you're out of debt before you are.
Combination here of morals, common sense, greed, playing it safe - which one you choose is your choice, but you gets what you pay for these days and if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Research what you do first, just like having someone to lunch or dinner - the more you prepare, the better the meal - treat your finances in the same way!
Rant-rant over, but please don't come on here lecturing people like that about being squeaky clean and moralistic because life is not what it seems when you have never been in debt yourself or you think you have better morals than someone else. and for those looking for a cheap way out of debt - there ain't any, just research, learn research more and play these companies at their own game - they don't have the time to be precise - you do. :T and you'll win through - You can't expect others to do it for you, you have to put some things into place yourself. Coming on forums is a damned good start and there's some really good advice to walk you through things.
Citizens Advice, legal aid, no win no fee lawyers, there are numerous ways of checking these things, but don't for goodness sake pump money out up front for some wide-boy outfit trying to kid you it's easy - it ain't.

We all know this. I kept spending on 0% credit cards & it mounted up until the repayments were almost unmanageable.
Of course it's my own fault however, when you're offered a way out of your debt you take it. Obviously it seems too good to be true but [DELETED] of BCNL, together with Buy Bye Credit, led me to believe that if they couldn't clear the debt, I'd just get my fee back. I was signed up to Buy Bye Credit by [TEXT DELETED] of BCNL (a company which incidentally no longer appears to exist & it would appear to be now trading under a different company name - RLG)
Buy Bye Credit only updated me regarding my case after I pestered them relentlessly although by 'updated' I mean, of course, they fobbed me off.
I eventually told them I'd sought legal advice & believed them to be in breach of their T&Cs. Within days I received a letter from them stating they could not progress my case & I was therefore due a refund of my initial fee of £1050.
That was in August 2009.
I called them & emailed them asking where my refund was & when I would receive it. Eventually I got a response saying that I would not get my refund until THEY got the commission back from [TEXT DELETED] that they'd paid to him for signing me up!!!! As I informed them, this was not part of our contract/agreement & I demanded payment within 5 days.
Obviously they ignored me so I made a claim against them via HMSC (small claims court online service). The judgment was agreed & served upon them. Natalie Slater emailed me to confirm receipt of the court papers but they ignored the request for payment & their 14 day response period ran out.
A warrant was then served on them which they also ignored so a court bailiff was sent in. The bailiff has been unable to recover funds because the address on their website, letterheads & emails is VACANT (202 Bradford Road, Birmingham)
They are registered with Companies House at a different address: 18-22 Yardley Street, Birmingham. This address is also registered to Solomon Lloyd, which is an associate company of Buy Bye Credit.
Now when you call the Buy Bye Credit phone number off the website - press 1 for Solomon Lloyd, you get an answerphone message 'You have reached the office of Solomon Lloyd, leave a message blah blah blah.......' - press 2 for Buy Bye Credit, there is just an automated message 'no attendant available please call back'. No mention of Buy Bye Credit, no opportunity to leave a message.
I very much doubt that Buy Bye Credit physically exist at any of the addresses they use. These people are indeed liars & thieves & have no morals & no conscience.
I have reported them to Companies House as their address is false & also to the Ministry of Justice.
I have also contacted Consumerdirect.gov.uk
The Ministry of Justice are very helpful. They have forwarded my complaint to the Monitoring & Compliance Unit at Claims Management Regulation ([EMAIL="info@claimsregulation.gov.uk"]info@claimsregulation.gov.uk[/EMAIL])
I will not stop until I get my money back & bring these conmen (& women) down.
Roy Slater, Alexandra Slater, Natalie Slater.... [TEXT DELETED]....
Everyone who has ever dealt with either Buy Bye Credit or Solomon Lloyd should report them to everyone & anyone who will listen.
They need to be stopped!!!!0
