Here is the problem

purchased a clearance deal in end jan

early feb phone faulty. Advised to return - had to pay special delivery postage....was advised that this was reimbursed by cheque....

To date, have not received any refund despite chasing a number of times on the phone and being reassured that it would be "immediately" processed.

can anyone advise where I can find a complaints address to write to E2save, or a correspondence address for writing to the correct department that deals with refunds on postage etc...

I have trawled through the E2save and CPW sites and cannot find a single address...there are plently of links for other problems but all advise points the customer to the helpline....where I am constantly assured the money was on the way...

thanks

    Hi, Searcher2

I remember that you posted a similar post as mine regarding the cashback dates. Would you mind sharing what their reply was?

    Thanks very much,

jianping. I was going to post but didn't know where to as there are various threads on E2Save. As brief background I took my phone contract out on 21st Jan 2008 with E2Save (1st bill date 22nd Jan) and like many others had conflicting T&Cs [e.g. some saying send 6th bill (22nd June) and some saying send bill after 6 months connection (22nd July) etc.] so to be absolutely sure I sent copies of all their conflicting information and asked them which was correct. This is the reply...

"Firstly I would like to apologise for the inconvenience and confusion caused in this matter.

I have read through the documents sent to us and can see that you have received several pieces of conflicting information.

In order to claim your 6 month cash back we do advise that your claim period would begin 6 months after your connection date. Therefore as your contract began on the 21st January 2008 your claim period starts on the 21 July 2008 and ends 30 days later. However as you have received various cash back procedure information then we would accept relevant months invoice within 30 days of the invoice date.

Again I apologise for the confusion caused regarding in this matter."

This as as I expected - but am 100% happy they can't wriggle out of it now when I send in the July 22nd bill.

They did not reply to my question of which of the 3 different addresses I have been given was the correct one to send the cashback claim to though.... though that is not my main concern.

Off to write another letter as my automatic cashback has not been paid - and it's 4 weeks since I rang to complain and they said it would take up to 4 weeks. My sister rang with the same issue and got hers paid no problem. The SayNoTo0870 (02088965000) number seems to no longer be working.

    Thanks for posting, useful info.
Best of luck with your auto-cashback, over 90 days now so LBA giving a MAX. of 10 days for cheque or sue for the lot. You could end up in a nice position to get all your cash back early.

    Keep us informed,

  • Thanks Searcher2! Very useful info indeed, hope you get you auto-cashback soon. I guess I have to chase it too in a month time or so.

It apparently becomes more difficult to do cash back deals now. I had another contact with CPW, which is due to end in a couple of weeks. Rang them up to cancel my contract, and they ended up giving me a12-month deal with 75mins and 150txts for free (no new handset but able to keep my number), and there will even NO need to claim. So people may consider this alternative other than taking out new deals.

If the contract has been fundamentally breached, (which is the grounds you have for being able to "sue for the lot"), and you decide on sending a LBA, then this should be for all cashback due as by the time you get to sending the LBA, then the breach has happened.

So the LBA should be for the "lot", not just the late payment. You get to the "nice position" at the time of sending the LBA, and not if/when the LBA is ignored.
