  • Surely, you have just bought an O2 contract as well, when you paid £169 for the phone?
hello, i got my new iphone yesterday, the guy in the shop told me how to unluck it (naughty eh :P) :rotfl:
unlocking is easy. use ziphone. follow instructions :)

as for the contract. when you get the iphone and plug it into your pc, itunes starts the activation process, you simply cancel it. easy as pie! :D:D:D the £169 is for the phone itself, the £35 minimum contract is where theyre making the real money. and only a small portion actually buy it. :)

O2 tried to make the contract process easier by letting the user set it up at home, but it quite obviously failed.

    its really that simple!
so for £169 plus my £10 a month virgin contract.... ive got an excellent deal! and i love it :D

No - you buy the handset outright for the £169.

There is no contract included with the purchase.

I think i might get one, £169 for an iphone sounds cheap, then in december when i can get out my contract ( vodaphone ) i can get the New 3G iphone on O2, its not the £35 that worry me, i pay £50 a month for my voda contract, its just that having the voda and the O2 will be too expencive. Unless anyone knows an easy way to get out my voda contract?
