Cheap Smell-alikes - Cheaper alternatives to Expensive Perfumes

If only there is a smell alike for Black Orchid by Tom Ford! I don't have it but when I visit my sister sometimes I have a spray of hers when she isn't looking! hehe :rotfl:

Also I bought my dad some Eau Sauvage by Dior for xmas when it was 15% off plus my sister bought it for me so she got an extra 25%off and I paid her back! It's so blimin expensive and he has run out already nearly!! It's his bday soon so I was thinking maybe a smell alike would be good.

Also I know Zara does a perfume that smells like chocolate and it smelt nice but they only have it in a big size. Does anyone know of any other perfume that smells like it?

Perfume Parlour do a Black Orchid smell-a-like. Its called Catchment.

i have a 3ml oil smell alike of honey i washed the kids by lush if anyone wants it for free i would give it to a friend but i just cant stand to be around anyone whos wearing it lol

has anyone tried the truce super one? i love angel or demon but im almost out and really cant afford to get some more, im soooo tempted after reading what everyone is saying. could anyone recommend something similar to it? I seem to have a hard time finding perfumes that suit me most are too girly lol only other perfume ive worn is elizabeth arden, provocative woman... sorry if theres a post somewhere inbetween that ive missed.

i have truce super and it smells fairly similar to the original.here are a few i have tried that dont smell girly alien by thierry mugler the perfume parlour version is called alienate. agent provocateur smell alike is called agenda and also thierry muglers womanity is nice but you may not like that one the smell alike is called voice.also avon do a nice oriental floral perfume (i noticed both perfumes you listed are oriental florals) called far away and it is really nice but it might be slightly too girly for you tho. hope i was of some help

Thankyou sarlouben i will defo give them a sniff next time im in town (if they have them anyways,.....small town lol) looks like ill be ordering some truce super then, do you find the amount lasts well? wondering how long 3ml bottle would last.

you wouldnt think a 3ml bottle would last long but if you only put a little on your pulse points it can last well over a month and thats if you use it everyday but at a little over a few quid a bottle it wouldnt really matter even if it only lasted a week or 2

oh wow i didnt think youd get that much wear out of them! thanks for the help, never been very knowledgeable about perfumes (ive been looking up oriental florals as of yesterday) found another ive worn, ultraviolet, its an oriental floral too so i guess i know what im looking for now.
the only other one i had which was bought for me was bvgari omnia which i think is a floral and it was nice but not quite right and disappeared very quickly.

does this seem to be the norm for perfume ie you find a type and stick with it or do you switch between types of fragrance.... think im making sense

some people stick to one type of perfume i will admit most of mine are oriental floral i used to love ultraviolet as a teenager but now im in my mid twenties i cant stand it i guess it is right when people say your smell can change. if you know you like oriental florals i would say stick to that because there are so many different variations they will all smell different. but i personally swap and change between perfumes tho but i always find i go back to my favourites lol

I find that perfume can change its smell from person to person. A friend was wearing a scent I admired but when I tried it on me, it was disgusting!

I like to change between fragrances from day to day or I feel your nose seems to ignore the smell. I wear what ever I am in the mood for that day.

Today I am wearing Ghost. Perfume Parlour version is Shadow. I have quite a "wardrobe" of different perfumes all from PP. I save the real thing for nights out or special occasions.
