Does anyone know if Midnight Butterfly by M&S is a copy of something?
I bought it as a cheap scent for my daughter and she wore it today and it smells lovely but unfortunately the smell is not long lasting so just wondered is there a 'real' version??0 -
Hope you love them as much as I do, i can afford to indulge now and always get comments how nice they smell.
Please report back and give us your feedback
Well...so far so fabulous with my Perfume Parlour oils!
The first day I wore Lady Million as a test. A few people at work have (the 'real' version of) this perfume so I wanted to see if anyone recognised the scent....and without any prompting a girl asked if I was wearing Lady Million....well I was so excited I divulged my moneysaving secret straight away and now they want to buy some oils to try too!
Each day at work I'm wearing a different 'mystery' fragrance for them to guess and so far every day they've correctly guessed straight away! So Lady Million, Armani Diamonds, Issey Miyake and Vera Wang Princess are clearly spot on.
Of the rest, I'd say (from memory) the Ralph Lauren Ralph is also spot on. With the other 5 (Flowerbomb, Kenzo Flower, Jo Malone Lime/Basil/Mandarin, Jimmy Choo, Philosophy Amazing Grace), I'm not too sure what the originals are like so I couldn't say how similar these are but none of them are unpleasant so it almost doesn't matter - I'll wear them anyway.
The only one I'm not overly keen on is the Jo Malone but I've not tried the proper version so it may still be a good SAL - just too 'heady' for me. Also my Kenzo Flowers smells like lipstick, weirdly, not sure if it always smells like that!
Lady Million, Flowerbomb & Issey stand out as being the strongest/longest lasting of those tried so far - I'll defo buy them again. Armani Diamonds & Amazing Grace are gorgeous but seemed to fade quicker than the others, esp Amazing Grace which I think is a very subtle fragrance anyway, but at that price I can afford to re-apply so it's fine.
I'll definitely buy more oils from PP. Already got my eye on my next batch to order...at this rate I'm not sure how I'll manage to use them all up as there are so many I want to try!0 -
Forgot to say....I didn't find the oils too messy/greasy/irritating or anything like that. No staining either - just made sure I kept my clothes away from my wrists after applying, until it dried. My only problem is how to stop this becoming an addiction!0

Its too late!!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Btw, Kenzo Flower is a very powdery fragrance, I heard it compared to make up before so its not just you. It, and Flowerbomb are both spot on too. Have a sniff next time you're in the perfume section x0 -
Hi all - just wondering, if you pay Perfume Parlour through Paypal, does it come up as BaseNotez on the receipt? I made an order on Tuesday and haven't had any sort of confirmation email from them...
Thanks x0 -
Just a little something regarding Milton-Lloyd's Chanel No.5 sal:
No.5 is my "signature scent" as someone else put it, it suits me perfectly and works fantastically with my natural skin chemistry.
While visiting Blackpool hubby and I stumbled across a stall on the market there, the stall sold a large number of Milton-Lloyd fragrances and labelled them with their Sal's names. Hubby, knowing i was running low on No.5 bought me a bottle of "Vogue".
The fragrances are identical, it was almost scary, i'd swear they had opened up a bottle of chanel and poured it onto their own packaging.
To test how similar they were i sprayed two cotton pads, one with vogue, one with No.5, and offered them to hubby, he has a very sensitive nose.
in a "best of 3" he picked vogue twice. He says he guessed every time because he just wasn't sure.
Then we blindfolded him and tested it on my skin, one spray per arm, at first he could identify vogue immediately, he said it had a slightly sharper smell, but after 60 seconds when we repeated the test he wasn't entirely sure any more, he spotted vogue again after much thought. After 5 minutes he gave up because he had no idea which was which.
We found the scent lasted through the day and wore through the various notes in exactly the same way as the real thing.
In short, vogue is excellent.
Now i'd like to ask for some help. I don't seem to be able to find my 3 other favourite perfumes without a lot of searching, and they are fairly pricey when i can, so, are there any good Sal's of any of the following?
Cacharel - Promesse
Elizabeth Arden - Red Door
Diesel - Green
Thank you and I hope this post was helpful.0 -

Hi, Yes I paid Perfume Parlour via Paypal and the Business Name on the Paypal transaction came up as 'Base Notez'. I believe this is the name they trade under on ebay. I got a confirmation email from Perfume Parlour the day after I ordered but there was no reference to Base Notez in that email, which would've been useful! My order took about 4 working days to arrive if that's any help.0 -

Oh I definitely will! Gone are the days of avoiding perfume counters because I can't afford to buy and didn't want the temptation. Now I'll gladly browse and sniff away, knowing that I can source my 'special' versions elsewhere!!!0 -
Just bought Poker for Men again. It really is a cracking smell
Just one thing I have found wth Milton lloyld. Some of my bottles have stopped working. Has this happened to anyone else?0 -
Does anyone know of a perfume that smells like 'Far Away' by Avon?
A friend really likes it and I'd like to be able to get a Perfume Parlour copy of it if I can to introduce her to the wonderful world of perfume oils!
I'm also just coming to the end of my 'Black XS' bought for me by my brother - was nice but not entirely my style. Does anyone know of a perfume that smells like grapefruit? love the smell, considering just buing the PP oil 'grapefruit'.No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!0
