This is my concern too, which is why I was leaning towards the sprays. However, at £8/25ml, the standard bottles from the high street work out being the same price or cheaper, per ml.

How is it people are making the huge savings discussed in this thread?

If you had priced a designer fragrance recently, you would know that a 30ml bottle of anything decent would cost at least 3 or 4 times £8. I was in Duty Free at the airport a couple of weeks ago and I would have had to pay well over £30 for a 30ml bottle of eau de toilette.

I am a Perfume Parlour fan. I like the oils and the sprays. I find the oils are long lasting but I do enjoy having a spritz of fragrance on my neck.

I have a good collection of the fakes but I also have several bottles of the real thing. I tend to use the copies on a daily basis (I wear perfume every single day regardless of what I am doing) and use the real McCoy for something special.

Would be interested to hear how you find this. Tresor was my absolute favourite perfume when I was younger, but the one I got from PP was awful. I emailed about it and they said they had had no problems with it so i'm wondering if it's just me and my sense of smell has changed, i've got a dodgy one or they're lying :D

I haven't smelt the original of Tresor..
Tresor type is nice and I will definitely use it- the name led me to it and then the notes in it led me to it from a description on a website.
Avon do one with a similar name which I loved but it gave me a nasty red lumpy rash - It is similar to that.
This was the Avon one which I loved is called Treselle. I can't post a link being a newbie! (It is on their website though and it's 'Treselle' not the 'Treselle Mystique')
So tresor has a similarity but it's not the same as the Avon one - maybe Treselle is of a similar type and might be what you're looking for? Watch out if you decide to get it and get a rash though - but I expect you can just try some if you know anyone who does Avon?
One spray and my rash emerged a few hours later - be careful! :)

    So far for the others:

Flowerbomb (type) - I agree with everyone else that it is lovely! I've never smelt the original but I adore it!

Kenzo Flower type - I really don't like this as it smells like heavy talc to me

Obsession (type) - this seems spot on from the last time I remember smelling it - love it.

Stella (type) - I should have gone by what everyone else said - it smells similar for seconds - literally seconds - then the smell changes and then it totally wore off after about half an hour or so.

I didn't get any pouches for the bottles - do they only come with larger than the 3ml size?

I am very pleased with the service and that they are so handy to carry around - I'm a fan - I will be using them again for sure! :)

Another perfume dupe is Lidl Suddenly Madame Glamour. Yes, Lidl sell perfume! It smells exactly like Chanel Coco Mademoiselle and is only £3.99 for 50ml. Bargain! x

Funnily enough, I smelt Suddenly MG last night (was alerted to the advertising blurb on their window on the way out and did a u-turn!). They had a tester out.

I love Chanel perfumes and have No5, Coco, Chance and Allure Sensuelle. I haven't had Coco Mademoiselle, but there's an article that tries them side by side: http://bonkersaboutperfume.blogspot.com/2011/06/lidl-suddenly-madame-glamour-sniffing.html

There were similarities to Allure Sensuelle (to my nose, I could be wrong), and it's my favourite Chanel anyway. Think I'll buy a few bottles and hide them!

By the way, it's 7 hours after I tried it, and I can barely sniff it. Though I wasn't expecting great staying power. It's an Eau De Parfum, apparently.

    Love LIDL!

Thanks for the blog link, LouLou. Seems as though the general consensus is Madame Glamour is a good dupe. I do like Coco Mademoiselle but it is expensive (£61 for 50ml Eau De Parfum) so have bought two bottles of Suddenly Madame Glamour for a grand total of £7.98 instead! I don't mind spraying liberally at that price! x

Having a read through and enjoying. Intrigued about Perfume Parlour! (Do they still do the Chanels then?). Might treat myself to a few new ones.

One "cheaper" way to get Chanel scent is to buy testers. I have a few Pure Parfums that come in the "etched" tester bottles, bought from ebay. They are incredibly strong and last forever, though.

Edit: Just read that UK ebay banned the sale of testers :( Could try the US?

Another question..how does Candyscent compare to Perfume Parlour?

Re LIDL, again: Here's another link from that blog comparing Suddenly D'or to Ghost Luminous. There's another Suddenly called Fleurs but not sure about that one. http://bonkersaboutperfume.blogspot.com/2009/11/lidl-suddenly-dor-swiss-ghost-story.html

Not even sure if you still get them as the post is a few years old!

Another one which appears in Poundland from time to time (in the makeup strip packages they have) is Flair by Revlon (EDP). It's only a small handbag size bottle, maybe about 10ml (?) but my sister absolutely loves it. She reckons it smells like Parma Violets.

    Basenotes seems to rate it:http://www.basenotes.net/ID26125469.html
