Lesley1966 and saurya_s - had a look on the internet as i was quite interested in what DPG is - have only just noticed it on the labels on my perfume. put DPG into google and this is what i came up with ..."Dipropylene Glycol,(DPG),is used to tone down reactive agents found within chemicals, therefore producing a skin safe oil. Dipropylene Glycol is often used to make fragrance oils and essential oils safe for use on the skin". having read that, i am quite happy with DPG in my perfume. I hope that this settles your minds, it did mine. (And by the way, no i don't work for PP or have anything to do with them other than paying them for all the stuff i order from Amir!)

Hi
The problem isn't the fact that DPG is included (well, not for me anyway) but that the PP site specifically says they don't use it. I now understand it is used as a carrier oil, in which case the site should say the don't use excessive amounts of it. But to say they don't use it is incorrect!
I still love the stuff and continue to be a satisfied customer, though.0 -

I do concur with your thoughts. When DPG or any other oil is added, then it should be called concentrated perfume oil not pure perfume oil. Not sure then what threshold of DPG or other carrier makes 'cut oil' and 'uncut' pure oil!
I also like their stuff and will continue to do so.0 -
Hello, I've been reading a few posts on here and decided to join in the fun! I ordered a few perfume oils and thought I'd give any future buyers some recommendations. I too am a perfume addict and spend a lot of money, my last purchase being a painful £80 for Chanel No5
it still hurts just thinking about it. Anyway, from TPP I bought Deceive (Hypnotic Poison) and I have to say it smells EXACTLY like the original. I wore it today and my mother was about to tell me off for wasting my money on another bottle of perfume! I'd definitely recommend it. Are there any other oils that smell exactly like the original?

The only problem with oils is that they smell close to skin, they don't project like EDP/Ts.

I know what you mean, I'm used to just spraying perfume everywhere but with the oils it's a bit different. I put a bit behind my ears, on my collar bone and my wrists. The great thing about the oil is that it the smell lasts for ages, I put mine on this morning and I can still smell it on me. The staying power is definitely stronger with an oil. Has anyone else tried the sprays on TPP website?
Thanks for the recommendations pattycake and sofababe, I shall be ordering some more soon0 -

Personally I like the oils for this reason. I hate when I walk past someone and can smell their perfume more than mine. This is the one thing that guys hate about the way women wear perfume too, they like to smell us when they are allowed to get close;)
I find that my friends can smell my perfume when I'm wearing an oil because they are more likely to be physically closer to me than a stranger. I have a friend who wears Poison (the real thing) and I swear I can smell her when I'm turning into her street  Its horrible. But I don't have the heart to tell her cos she thinks its lovely
Maybe when she uses up the bottle she has I will introduce her to PP oil, that way I only get to smell her if I sit by her or hug her!0 -
I like the oils because they last and I like to be able to 'sniff' my wrist for a quick 'pick me up' as I find it comforting. I've ordered some sprays (3 for £20 free P & P) of some of my favs, so I will report back.
PS - I love 'L'instant, but didn't feel the oil version had quite the variety of layers the original had. It was described to me as having a molecular form like a pyramid which rotated, and it depended which way up it was when you smelt it as to what 'side' of the perfume you got, but I just don't get this variation with the smell a like (which is perfectly nice even so)Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -
Has anyone else had problems with their eternity oil? I'm wearing it today but the smell is so weak I think i'll need to reapply. Not used to that from the oils :j0
