I have created a website for smell-a-likes to hopefully all go in one place (that's the idea anyway...), rather than being scattered around in different threads in different forums.
This is very much a first version, but let me know what you think!

Has anyone used FM cosmetics for perfume? They reckon they have good copies but I hadn't heard of them.
Hi shoe*gal,
I use FM products and they are awesome! It's so much cheaper than the designer brands at a fraction of the cost (around £11.99 for 30ml/50ml when you buy from a distributor), but signing up to become a preferred customer (it's free and there's no expectations/pressure or minimum orders) gives you it at wholesale cost, therefore even cheaper!
It's generic bottles and all the fragrances have a number (rather than a name) and the concentration of oils is higher and makes the smell last longer.
I honestly will never buy a designer fragrance again since finding out about FM.

Hi guys,
Excellent thread. Really valuable comments and advice.
I've just ordered Milton Lloyds American legend male fragrance. Wondering if anyones tried before and there thoughts?
Also was after something similar or near enough an identical fragrance to Hollisters SoCal for men? I'm only 16 & love the smell of it but realistically at the moment don't have the cash to afford the original bottle! Poor me I know haha! Any advice or suggestions of cheaper alternatives to try would be greatly appreciated, cheers.0 -
I bought a few PP oils before Xmas. some are good copies of the stated fragrance and some are awful. Good include Agent Provocateur and Fendi. Bad include Youth Dew and Black Orchid. However with all of them to some extent there is a nasty chemical edge to them. Not so much in the smell but more like a taste or a miasma around me. Makes my eyes water in some cases or my lips go dry and a metallic taste sensation. This makes me wonder what goes in PP's fragrances. We have no list of ingredients, no quality assurance. Could be anything in there when you think about it. Not worth risking your health for cheap frags!0

Lidl has offer next week on x bolt, suddenly glamour and suddenly Diamonds
Just to point out that "Suddenly Diamonds" is apparently a dupe of Boss Orange. There's also a "Suddenly Madame Glamour" (the infamous Coco Mademoiselle copy) candle, and Gift Set (200ml Body Lotion/Shower Gel) for £3.99 each from 6th February.
X-Bolt EDT for men (dupe of Boss Bottled) is £1 cheaper at £2.99 from that date.

Here's a Romanian blog where "Suddenly Woman I" (never seen this in the UK) is mentioned: http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=ro&u=http://www.the-beauty-addict.com/2013/04/parfumuri-lidl-noi.html&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhttp://www.the-beauty-addict.com/2013/04/parfumuri-lidl-noi.html%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D574
Quite a detailed review of "Woman I" here: http://www.scentia.ro/?p=1129#more-1129
"At first sniff this perfumes is strikingly similar to Chanel N°5, unlike Chanel N°5, Woman I is watered down and its sillage is weaker. Personally I think Woman I copies N°5 accurately and it smells better than other N°5 copies.
After two hours I smelled my wrist and I was stunned, Woman I from N°5 metamorphosed into Mitsouko Guerlain. A watered down Mitsouko but a pleasant Mitsouko.
Woman I surprised me with this sudden change from an aldehyde perfume to a slightly heavy chypre perfume.
Unlike Madame Glamour Suddenly Lidl that in my opinion is a decent but rather weak copy, Woman I is actually a copy that smells good.
I will have to repeat myself but Woman I is weaker in intensity than the originals, lacks in complexity, has a lot of water in its composition but it lasts quite well."0 -
Currently have Moondust by Creation Lamis on the go. What a waste of money! It has absolutely no staying power, disappearing within five minutes, even though it is supposed to be an EDP.
Have others had similar results with this brand?0 -
Lidls new Simply Diamonds at £3.99 is supposed to smell like Boss Orange. Whether it does or not I don't know, but it sure has staying powerPlease forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

Great thread, does anyone know how I can search just this thread? I would like to find a dupe of flowerbomb but don't fancy reading through all 52 pages to see if it has been mentioned.
