I can see Base.Notez is listed as Perfume Parlour's ebay shop, but from looking at the Perfume Parlour website, it seems different perfumes are listed (?) http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Base-Notez/Perfume-Oils-for-Women.html

Do they still do 5 x 3ml scents for £10, or any other offers? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Perfume-Oil-Special-Offer-Any-5-3ml-Bottles-For-8-00_W0QQitemZ250396313571QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Health_Beauty_Fragrances_Women_s_Fragrances_PP?hash=item250396313571&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318 Also, is their Miss Dior Cherie the "original", before the reformulations? Sorry about all the questions.

Chanel Allure Sensuelle is my absolute favourite and I want to give that, and Miss Dior Cherie, a go. :) Maybe get some to put in with my sister's Xmas stocking too.

Edit: I have "Liked" their Facebook page and can't see a 15% discount?

I just placed an order with PP yesterday, so I can help answer a few of your questions. They are the same as Base Notez, the Ebay shop actually works out cheaper that buying from their website if you are after the less popular fragrances, but the range on Ebay is not as large as that on their website. Also, they no longer offer a discount on 'liking' their FB page, but you do get discounts based on how much you spend overall, going up to 20% on a spend of £50 or more. Hope this helps, gleaned this info from an exchange of emails.
  • does anybody on here know the trading standards rules about selling smell-a-like perfumes?i know you can not put a sign on it saying angel...or smells like angel...but what if a sign went on it saying angxl would that break the rules?or say a sign saying ghoxt instead of ghost would that break the rules?would be very glad if someone got back to me on this..thanks
  • Does anyone know a smell-alike for James Bond 007 EDT?
  • Does anyone have any experience of Al-Rehab perfume oils?
Reading on another website and one, Nebras, has been likened to VW Boudoir. Another, Soft is supposedly like a grown-up version of Pink Sugar.
I'd be interested in any opinions.

The wording you use has to be chosen carefully. In the last couple of years the designer houses have got pretty stroppy about the use of their names for selling smell a likes.
Most online shops seem to use the phrase "with notes similar to those in ...." or something along those lines. So if you are thinking of selling some that sort of wording would be best. I also saw a site that used this; "if you like Angel, you'll probably love this". Clever.
The point is that your wording must leave absolutely no doubt that you are NOT trying to imply that your goods are the genuine designer article.
If you're going to be selling face to face on a market or car boot sale then you need to be very careful, trading standards love those places.

I ordered from The Musk Shop (ebay) http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/themuskshop

Just a little 3ml bottle to test, and to put in my niece's stocking as she loves Lady Million. Cost £2.98 delivered. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251364488809?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 It has a label on it.

Gave the oil a cheeky rub to test and it's brilliant!! Excellent dupe that lasts, too.

Tempted to keep it as I got her the Milton Lloyd "Pure Gold Lady" 55ml spray too (going to have a wee spritz later).

I have a Poundworld that's opened not far away from me and they do all the "Virtual Brand" dupes. "Choice", along with the pink and silver packaging, is their copy of Chanel Chance.

I've got a Parfum bottle here so I know the real thing very well. On first spray, it is actually pretty good! But the scent seems to disappear really quickly (sniffing it five/ten minutes later).

I found this thread by chance when I was looking for aftershave/perfume deals, and went and ordered 8 x 6ml bottles from perfume parlour. In general they are good quality, but my impression is the strength of the scent isnt as good as the originals. I also think the lack of a spray (for the oil) is a weakness. The latter is a reason why the smell clings to your skin for a long time but doesn't emanate too much.

Nevertheless ill probably try a few more

My thoughts on the individual items I ordered are as follows

Tuskan Leather For Men - (Tom Ford) good match to original
Velvet Roses & Oudh - (Jo Malone) good match to original
Neroliz Portofeeno - (Tom Ford) the best match of my order, I compared this to the original and its indistinguishable
Oud Woodies - (Tom Ford) pretty good match, not as strong as original
Tobbacoz Vanillaz - (Tom Ford) probably don't know the original well enough but seemed close from what I remember
X-treme For Men - (Tom Ford) - the worst of the lot, nothing like the genuine, doesnt even smell to pleasant
Black Orcheeds For Women - (Tom Ford) can't comment as don't really know the original
Pomee-Granate Noire - (Jo Malone) - comparing to the original it is similar (I blind tested my wife as she has the original perfume), and her comment was it was very like it, but it's slightly spicier, smells very nice though even if not 100% match
  • Can anyone recommend a pefume I can get through Perfume Parlour that smells like Bodyshop 'Brazilnut'? My daughter loves it but I would rather get an close copy as an oil for her stocking, the spray the way she uses it works out a bit expensive.
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

  • This thread is great!

I was just wondering if anyone has come across a smell-alike of either Paco Rabanne's Black XS for Her, or Katy Perry's new perfume Killer Queen?

I love these perfume's but they're just so expensive!

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help :)
