Kays are taking the pi$$ now.

Cause i have just has a letter saying the PSP will now be delivered 19/1/06.

I ordered on the 9/9/05. (But website now says 7 week delivery.)

I wonder if they are only saying this to me cause they have now put the price up.

Boots entertainment took my order for a PSP a few weeks back and still can't indicate when they will be able to fulfill the order.

When i placed the order, they advertsied on their website that they had them in stock. I find it shocking that a company can take an order, claiming it has an item in stock, but then once it has your money, admit that it was lying!

Where is the cheapest place to buy games and do I need the a bigger memory card than the one they've supplied?

  • https://www.mymemory.co.uk, have some games for £17.99 + p&p.

Regarding the memory card, it depends on what you will use the psp for. If you're just using it for game saves, it's just about adequate. But if you wish to view movies, play mp3's, use homebrew applications, etc. then you'll need a much bigger card. I would recommend 512mb minimum and a 1 gig ( or 2gig if you're rich :) ) if you're going to make any use of the psp at all.

Datel have now also brought out a 4gig hard drive / extended battery pack, so might be worth looking at.

When they 1st took my order it said 4 weeks. And i got a quotes date of the 7/10, next i got a letter saysing the week of the 10/10. then i got a letter says 24/10.

And to cap it all off the most recent said 19/1/06.

I have already brought one while waiting for the delivery of this one. But this was going to be a prezzie for Xmas. Cause i thought i would have arrived by then.

I think a phone cal to them is needed. For some sort of explaination. Why there website has had delivery within 7 weeks, Max it has said and still says. (4 weeks when i ordered).
  • Have spent most of the morning on the phone to Kays and eventually managed to speak to the dept that deals with the buying of the PSP's and they have confirmed that it will be at least January before than can fulfil orders!!!....hence i have cancelled my order and now need to start the great hunt!!

p.s. they also said that there are many back orders and delivery for January cannot be guaranteed.

Boots Entertainment are now saying end of October for delivery.

At least they seem to be hopeful that they are getting stock in.
  • I ordered a psp on the day they came out though Kays, Ihave had several letters about delivery delays and received a letter Monday telling me that expected date of delivery is 24-1-06 due to production problems, so be prepared for a wait.
