With regards to downloading, just be wary of of the malicious files out there that will brick (render unuseable) your PSP

Also you cannot play UMD's on a downgraded PSP that do not fit your region

I put it in my basket @ 5:00pm yesterday but wanted the points to go on my advantage card and didn't have the card or the number @ work. When I got home all sold out :(

Actually Mad.Dog....if you downgrade your PSP you CAN watch UMD's from any region with homebrew software installed...unlike the standard machine

Well I can on mine anyway
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.
  • Anyone who is interested in downgrading is going to have a decent sized memory stick....and therefore they would be in the know, and more likely to want to buy a DVD and use the freely available conversion software to convert it to a suitable psp format, then watch it from the memory stick. It also conserves battery power !

i got my free spiderman umd yesterday! yeay!

I got a psp from yesasia, i entered my corrrect serial number, and said it was a 10003 on the drop down list. worth a go if anyone else got an import one.

also if anyone has a mac and wants to convert movies to the psp try ffmpegX, is free and works well. i compressed movies to about 300mb, and they play just great. be careful to set the screen size to something like 320x176, as the default won't work.
works best and quickest from divx movies. to convert a dvd to divx on a mac use D-vision 3. Takes around half an hour for the whole process on my G5.

    hope that helps
