Looking at the forum on the PSPhack, theres loads of succesfull downgrades. Time for me to buy one...not really concerned if it doesnt work and messes it up, it would be straight back to the shop as faulty!.

Value pack - $280 = £164

I think the Exchange rate they used is wrong, todays rate is approx £1 = $1.70

There's lots of stock out there at the moment - it's just sitting in warehouses waiting for enough pent-up demand to build before Sony release a flood of them on to the market. They will wait until their major distributors have orders of say 500,000 on their books, then out they go. Give it 3 or 4 weeks and there'll be loads
