    it seems the manufacturers have been caught out cold
    If by this you mean Sony haven't made enough don't believe the hype!! They did this with the PS2 slimline and it's all just part of marketing - hype the launch, release just enough to get people talking about it, then hold back the stock until there is a massive demand for the latest "hard to get" gadget, then FLOOD the market with millions of them. Works every time!
    By the way they're back in stock at Boots.com

    Given that almost every discount code on that website expired in May 05 I wouldn't expect this to work - certainly didn't appear to give me any discount when I followed the link.

    Got a printed account statement from Kays today confirming the PSP for £143.99 with delivery before 5th Oct :)

    Just have to keep fingers crossed now that when it arrives there aren't a plethora of dead pixels across the screen :eek:

    Somehow doubt any of them are what you're referring to! :p
