Hello all,
I've been looking for a copy of the Bible and other Holy books and have found some links to sites offering free hard copies.
I know most have been posted before but the threads are old and/or closed due to silliness. If anybody has recieved them and can tell me which versions they are I would be very grateful.
Bibles
I've sent for these two,
http://www.lesea.com/needabible.cfm
http://www.goodnews4liverpool.com/freebible.html
I'll wait a couple of weeks but if neither of the others come i'll try these ( King James Version) links:
http://coventry.adzooks.co.uk/for-sale/music-films-books-games/free-bible-990917.html
http://www.ukclassifieds.co.uk/general.92908.html
The Book of Mormon
Sounds as if they deliver by hand, is that true?, I've requested so hope to find out.

Koran
I have a Dawood translation, does anyone know which this is?, I've emailed to find out
http://freekoran.com/form.php
God's Final Witness
Not actually a Holy book but could be interesting. I've seen another book from this site in the forum, that seemend to arrive so have requested
https://www.the-end.com/2008GodsFinalWitness/Order/
Cheers
PS Does anybody know where I could find a free version of the Torah (for off-line reading)?

It's worth looking into the history of the translation a little because there are obviously good translations into English and poorer ones... . www.bible.org and www.biblegateway.com are good ways to look at different translations online... .0 -
My Bible was delivered by hand this morning from GoodNews4Liverpool along with an Ultimate Questions booklet. The Bible is the King James version printed by TBS. :T
Just holding out for my Koran now.0 -
You're likely to get a couple of missionaries knocking on your door - or possibly two members from your nearest branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (they always go out in pairs...). Shouldn't be a problem if you only want to read the book and don't want to invite them in to discuss it - although they will ask if they can discuss it with you - some will be a little more persuasive than others.0

If anyone is considering studying into Islam, the following website is worth a look at. Reading the Koran (Qu'ran) on its own or as a first port-of-call can be daunting and understanding the meaning behind some of the verses can become difficult. This is where the misconceptions have arisen from.
http://www.sultan.org/
Among other issues, it looks at: Introduction into Islam; the purpose of life; why Islam?; Islam and science; Jihad; life after death; Christian priests and missionaries that have embraced Islam; Christianity and Islam; what the Bible says about Prophet Muhammad (pbuh); and women in Islam.0 -
Thank you - its a very interesting site0

In the interests of balance on behalf of the honest non believers, have a look at this site as well;
2020ok.com/tags/atheism.htm
Its not only about atheism, it also has ebooks on the rest of the mad religious ideas that people still have.
Keep trying.........................what else is there to do?

To be honest non belief is a belief exactly like all the rest and like all the rest it has all the exact same human failings... in the interests of balance.0
