..well my gals all live happily together. It's the Boys who are a handful...all that guinea pig testosterone...and they keep whiffing all those lady hormones fomr next door cages. Did you know boy gpigs can get seriously depressed if they don't get enough shags??
My oldest male Grommie ended up in the vets for 24 hours while I was on holiday last year....not eating, lethargic, losing weight........turns out it was depression from sexual frustration . (Vet was so diplomatic when giving diagnosis...i.e. he's desperate for a shag!! :rotfl: ) So put a spayed female in with him and no probs since!..they're bonded for life!
..and if you want mixed pair..we will need to choose carefully so no inbreeding..unless nadgering happens in advance.
But still say...adoption might be preferable....so choose your pair and you can come and visit them when they get back into their new home.....eventually!!
