Travelodge have some rooms for £29 in some locations. I think they are their super price saver and are available only on the internet.

    Hi fyp,

I posted a link to the £19 Travelodge rooms yesterday; Page 2 or 3, but it's timed out. They're only usually available in places that are not close to a decent pub or restaurant.

    Hi Bltn,

From our "limited" experience of travelling this little Island, Friday and Saturday evenings are always the quietest and the cheapest; business people don't tend to be away from home over the weekend.

Looking at travelodge rooms and their £19 and £29 offers, I'd say the weekends are those times they are most likely to exclude discounts. Every time I've looked at going somewhere for a Fri/Sat night stay for some purpose these are invariably priced at full price.

I'll admit I've never actually ever been away/stayed in a hotel, but I have looked a lot of times (then dismissed it as prohibitively expensive because there were no discounts)

I tend to look for B&B rather than hotels because they can be cheaper.

If I can get hold of a bottle of the stronger Pastis, it's probably a bit of both.;)

    Hi PasturesNew,

Friday and Saturday nights are almost always the ones that offer the cheap rate, unless there's some sporting fixture or other attraction going on. They're just the job if you're only looking for bed and breakfast but they're almost always a car ride away from any decent night life.
