How about august ?. Only reason i said oct was to give people time to save and to plan it better. I have a list of all those interested so if they post individually with the best date for them and if the place south of brum i mentioned is viable i can make notes and come up with a date to suit most ect. Does that sound ok?.Also have been in touch with said inn ,as rich said premier do not do discounts but the £55 is per room so by sharing only £27.50. Also each could just book the room themselves(would need to check this:o ) with their co-op electron card:D . Unless somebody has a better location. I'm easy!:D
Hi dalip,
We can make almost any date providing we have enough notice so my O.H can book the time off work.
You can't reserve a room either at Travelodge or Premier Travel Inn with an Electron Card, but you can use a Top-up MasterCard.

Hi fermi,
Something else I found out this week is that you can use a Top-up MasterCard for car hire abroad, but you have to apply for the facility beforehand. I was going to post a Thread to that effect, and then decided I'd prefer to test the theory first.
I spoke to the Customer (not very good) Service department, and they allow it on a case by case basis, depending on how the account has been managed. You do need to put enough cash in to cover any Insurance Excess, which is usually £250, and a full tank of fuel in case you return the car empty.
We almost had to go abroad this week but then it fell through.0 -

All the 30th of aug is not bank holiday wkend, thats the wk before. The premier inn i had in mind does not make 2 nights min.It is also cheaper at wkends like richard said.
WDIAG I checked with premier and again as richard says they do not offer a discount as they feel their rooms are cheap enough at £55 a night. . As they offer a group booking service here, I was hoping they'd offer a discount with it, but maybe it's just a service to ensure you all get rooms near each other or something like that.

Hi wdiag,
It is confusing; there used to be three companies: Travelodge; Travel Inn and Premier Travel (I think). Travel Inn and Premier Travel merged to form Premier Travel Inn and now they've dropped the "Travel" name and become Premier Inn.
Their hotels are definitely better than Travelodge, but they're usually more expensive and they don't offer discounted deals in off peak times like Travelodge. The only price reduction you get is a £2-£3 on a Friday and Saturday when their booking are lower.

Travelodge have some rooms for £29 in some locations. I think they are their super price saver and are available only on the internet.
