I bought a liteon LVW-5002B as discussed earlier in this thread last week but am sending it back. The recording quality is fine but the noise of the device combined with the awful startup times were too much for me.No links in signatures please.0

I have one of these Liteon LVW-5006, and last night I decided to do the Macrovision hack.
Downloaded the firmware from LiteOn and the hack tool - but it didn't work?

Did it go through the update procedure? If you did how do you know it did not work, have you tested copying a protected disc?.0 -

It went through the update procedure and I still get "protected Content" message - that's how I know it didn't work0
