Cribbs Causway Comet.....I not happy

I went in there the other day to buy a particular washing machine.
I found it on the 'shelf' and the sales man came over and we got talking about it.
I said I will just check the model number, which was stored on my phone, to double check it is the one before I buy.

Between breaths, two 'ladies' came up, butted in and declared they wanted this machine and bought it right in front of me!

The sales chap didn't even say that we were there first. He just left me standing there and served them.

The really annoying thing is, is that this machine was the last one in the shop and was at a reduced Managers Special price to take away there and then!!

I carried on looking at the machine (opening door, and powder tray checking drum for whatever, looking in manual etc) and one of the women came up and said 'You know we've just bought this machine don't you?'
Hubby said 'Yes, you pushed in ahead of us as we were here first.'

Along comes the man with the trolly and they take the machine away.........

Now I am so unhappy with this. I have spent months researching machines to find what I need only to have it swiped from under my nose with the sales assistant watching DOING NOTHING! How rude. I walked out.

So if you are reading this Comet at Cribbs Causeway....I WILL NOT BE BACK.

I have this funny feeling the gap/time it took you to do this is bigger than your letting on.

Why did you not then but in and say you want it? Especially as
I have spent months researching machines to find what I need

I recon you wondered off somewhere.

You certainly couldn't have made it clear you wanted it.

Sorry but I did.....It don't take long to whip out a mobile phone and check a photo with text on it to check the model number.

I didn't wander off. The man was less than 3 feet away from me at all times. He knew which machine I was enquiring about.
I said to him I need to check the number so he knew I was interested.

I did try looking elsewhere but as this turned out to be a Managers Special on the day I went in, it was much cheaper.

I agree with Deanos, post the model/number/spec and price, and see what people can find for you!!

It might be worth a letter to headquarters to complain. Did you have the name of the salesperson who sold it to someone else? They might find another one for you at the same price.

As always timtims, unnecessarily rude and inappropriate comment.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

exactly 'enquiring' about, whats the sales guy supposed to do, read your mind, no where in your post it says you told him you'll buy it.

after months of reserach you still needed to check the model number, come on take responsibilty for your own !!!! up.

I think the guy thought "oh you havent decided if you want it yet", yes it would have been nice for him to ask you if you wanted it before he sold it

Shame you all weren't there......you might have seen my side of it then.

I'll go find the details of the machine.
