I told my daughter about the glitch on the No7 foundation/concealer. She went to Boots yesterday and picked up 2 foundations & 1 concealer & handed over £5 off No7 PC voucher & the 250pts wyb No7 (thank you Sam). The woman called the manager down & they both said she couldn’t have the concealer unless she bought 3 foundations  so only being young (with not much money) she agreed to buy another foundation then she was told she could only use one voucher so she chose the £5 off. She said she was made to feel like a criminal & by the time she got out of the shop she was shaking. She got home & burst into tears as she’s spent far too much money on make up which she can’t return & I feel terrible as it was me that told her what to do :( What do you think I should do? I know if it were me I would have told them to leave it but you know what these youngsters are like. She doesn't want to go to Boots again & said she will stick to Superdrug.

OMG, the poor love, I could cry for her. How DARE the SAs treat her like that? And they weren't even right anyway, she only needed to buy one foundation to get the concealer

If it were me, I would go back in there with her (or without her if she really can't face it), with the products and receipt and cause HELL if necessary until she gets her refund for the 2 excess foundations.

God, I am FUMING on her behalf :(

Week, I did not take offence to your comment, just thought that someone might, i really did not mean to upset you or anyone else.

    Hya,
Personally I don't see why you are apologising, you have done nothing wrong, you are only stating your opinion which everybody is entitled to.
Nobody is in charge of this thread, Its a public forum, the only people who can say what goes on in it are the people martin has asked to do that job.

I'm only writing this because over the past few months i have noticed a lot more "bickering" , Ive been reading these boots threads for over 2 years and have posted on them for about 18 months and in that time have seen the members that were on here originally just fizzle out due to some new posters petty squabbles.
Chat is fine by me, I like reading it, but sometimes is does go a little overboard. Can we just all stay nice to one another and keep this thread as friendly as it used to, when the newbies come along they all say how much this thread is friendly and we should all be proud of that, but its slowly slipping.
Come on girls (are their any boys ? I dunno) stay friendly and keep bargain hunting, I for one don't know what i'd do sometimes without this thread and the bargains I pick up becaue of the glitches we all find. :D

Well I was thinking about this myself as I have kindly been offered a 250pts on No7 skincare....so I had a quick mooch online and found this

Check out our great 3 for 2 offers...</SPAN>
    px_trans.gif

3 for 2 Mix & Match on over 1000 facial skincare products
px_trans.gifBoots has the secrets to gorgeous skin with our exclusive range of products from skincare expert Dr Nick Lowe, and also your favourite products from brands such as L'Oreal, Nivea, Olay & No7. 40064.jpg

So it appears that it can be combined, I did a check by putting 1 thing in my basket from No7 skincare and then 2 olay ones and yes .com did combine them on 3 4 2. I haven't tried it instore though (hmm Thinking of combinations now!)
The big posters in Boots windows promoting 342 on skincare show a No7 product along with two from different ranges so it must be instore too :D

That is SOO awful - poor kid! How bl**dy dare they! I would seriously go and create over that. And you CAN take the items back - I took both foundation & concealer back (unused) cos I tried a mate's foundation and looked like I'd been tango'ed!

What is it with these No7 women? They all seem to be hell-bent on making their customers miserable, yet all the other Boots staff are lovely!

Grrrrr - come on, let's all take your daughter on a Bootsing trip to give her her confidence back.......the SAs wouldn't dare with us standing guard behind her!

There's a seperate 342 on Healthcare going on at the moment. The posters say that skincare vitamins are included in the Healthcare offer but excluded from the 342 on skincare offer.

As we all know however, the tills and posters often say different things. Could be a great way of using up the Skin Perfection vouchers ;)

For example Skin Perfection vitamins, No7 skincare and Expert skincare in one transaction could mean we could use up 3 or 4 points vouchers and get 342. It would be great if it worked :rotfl:

    Has anyone tried it?

Vanda2 that's absolutely appauling!! You should definitely complain in the store (ask to speak to the area manager if necessary) and secondly, call CS today (01159182000) and complain. They should put you through to a senior advisor. As long as the cosmetics stay sealed, she should be able to take them back.

Hope ur daughter's doing ok now...I know what it's like to feel like a complete idiot in store for simply trying to buy something!(on the occassion it happened to me I spoke to CS who passed on my complaints and awarded me 1000pts)

    HTH :D
