American Express Cards

I just applied for one, having no missed payments or defaults on my record but having moved house quite a lot, and got a £2400 credit limit. So not sure what they lend based on but it can't be that harsh surely? Also they phoned me just to check I got the card OK and to see if I had any questions which I thought was a nice touch.
I have yet to try buying anything with it though...!
Same situation and similar credit limit.
AMEX customer service is very good, they also phoned me to let me know I got expected and answer any questions I had.
I've spend around £1500 (paid off in full) on it in less than a month
EDIT: I am only 20 and have a Barclaycard oyster with a similar limit too, all paid off in full each month.0 -

Mine got referred but I eventually got a contract in the post about a week after I applied. Signed the contract sent it back and within 2 weeks later I've got my card (AMEX GReen charge) and PIN.0

They only let you apply for the Barclaycard Onepulse if you're over 23?
The Oyster states 'best suited for' someone over the age of 23.
I only signed up for the account last December for the Activation Credit of £25.
Just a correction, turns out the credit limit is near the £5K mark. Think its about time I closed to account.
PS: When applying for the card I would have been 19, but 20 within 2-3 weeks.0 -

Oh right, interesting - I wonder why they state that yet allow people under 23 to get the card?!0
