Hey Miss Pen Pen - happy birthday.
PenPin, well I know you want positive posts so here is one from me but thinking of you DH and DD. Love and hugs and keep up your strength.
There are a lot of poorlies out there today - love and hugs to you all.
Bentho (Martyn) you sound more positive today and hope the holiday goes well (plus the weather!)
Can't believe how many new folk coming on here. It is a wonderful community just to share every day things.
Well, today at work sh@@e. This change of personnel not good! However fairly minor to everything else in life. This is work, after all. However I did wake up last night at 2.30 with a huge I must remember this and didn't sleep much thereafter.
Having my darling boys (yes all 3 of them!) for the night on Saturday and have started the preparations. DGS3 still has to have bottles when here (is breast feed at home) so bottles and steriliser out and ready. However, he is on really grown up food - DD said he had spag bol the other day and loved it. She also said he loves finger food with sandwiches and bananas so that makes it so much easier for lunch. They grow up so quickly and I suppose so much more relaxed with Number 3!
Well, only 2 weeks on Monday until I go to Spain with the family. I can't wait. Just hope the weather OK.
Love and hugs to everyone.
A very tired GB
PS Aussie - DH - we still don't know if he passes muster for Aussieland! Are you on your usual Ninny day tomorrow if DGS not been too well?0 -
Hi Purpleivy
Oh dear - have you sleep problems? We were very lucky with our two and DDand SIL tend to have all 3 asleep by the back of seven. They do get up around 6.00-6.30 but the balance is an early start but an evening! The boys tend to go down a bit later when we have them but they do tend to wake up about their usual time but I am prepared for that. I build in sleep time for me after they have been here!

Hello everyone.:hello:
Hugs to Smokey and PP!
Yet another day of rain and more wet washing. I usually try to have laundry clear during school hols but have not managed it this time. I was in bed for the first week and the weather has been dreadful since I recovered enough to be bothered.
Have just had an amazing chicken Korma made by DH ( I think he may have started with a jar but added loads). Kids won't eat it with bits in si they has SF chicken n chips (courtesy of Iceland £1 each for chicken n £1 for big bag of fries)
Thanks to free trial of Tesco DVD's am just about to watch Premonition - not sure if it'll be any good but it's free!!!!!!
Saw someone mention Lemon meringue cake - my friend made one for my dads birthday tea and it was the best, have just photocopied recipe to try out at wkend.
Can't believe I have to go back to work on Mon. Have done no prep as I have been too ill and there are only three weeks to SAT's!!! Have to get some level 4 maths from my bottom set so lots to do.

Smoky, sorry, meant to send love and hugs to you and children. Keep in there, you will have good and bad days and we are here for you as is your family who sound fantastic. Keep something of Eric's around you if it gives you comfort. Nothing wrong with that. I spent some time with my FILs ring on after he passed away because I was very close to him and I felt it was comforting to just wear it, touch it, rub it!

No sleep problems personally! THey're 17 and 14 (nearly 18 and 15) which is why the sleep thing has changed LOL!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Yes, well. Remember the teenage years and at 2 pm was still !!!!!ing around because they were still in their pits and felt I couldn't make too much noise! Changed days - if DH not up by 9 am I am in there doing the housework, etc! He is retired and if I am up then basically he should be up at the weekends!

GGGRRRRRRRRRRR I thought my wooden floor was wet and had been blaming the dogs, now i've discovered my washing machine has been leaking under it, and guess what my insurance isn't for accidental damage:eek:

Got the washing machine man coming out tomorrow, so that's more money I don't have  "You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"
