  • Hi all, i posted a while ago telling you about my natwest loan and how we had been mis sold it well i sent it off to them and they sent back a speedy letter to fob me off and make the process longer (biding them time) with a questionair to fill out on how we were mis sold it i wouldnt have minded but the questions wernt anything to do with out situation. so i have now sent back a letter saying that i will not be filling out this form and wrote in detail my complaint surely the 1st detailed letter with my complaint should have been enough!

Anyone else been having problems with natwest? i thought they would be easy!

It makes them look caring doesn't it!! Just fill it in, send it back and say your complaint still stands and so do the 8 weeks to resolve it too.

I post on here a while ago regarding my loan from Paragon.
I requested a statement to show what I owed if I were to pay off my loan early.
I was quite confused as to the balance I received because as it was about £3000 over what I expected £20,000.
Some of you guys responded as said it was to do with a certain act and because my loan was taken out on 2004, my loan was calculated on that.
The thing that I am puzzled at is 6 months before my recent statement I received another statement and the balance was about £3,000 less, roughly about what I expected.
I called Paragon and asked for a breakdown and she sent me a account statement that showed the loan amount, interest, PPI, what I have paid off and the balance which was GBP17,000.
She said that it will show how the GBP20,000 was arrived at but it didn’t.
Is there anyone that can help me work out how they calculated it all??
I am in the process of claiming back the PPI, GBP2,750 but they have not responded to my SAR form with cheque.

    Hi there hunni
They are supposed to supply you with your SAR request within 40 days of your letter request, and if its over that time, I would now report them to the ICO here:
    http://www.ico.gov.uk/complaints.aspx

Have you checked your bank account to see if they have debited this out of your account and are you certain they received this SAR letter by sending by recorded signed for post ?;)
What was the date on your letter hun and what day did they receive this if you know ? cheers.

Now regarding the calculations on this, I am sure Tiggrae or one of the others could work this out for you to make sure its the correct amount as you have every right to request for the interest too.

Hopefully someone will be on later to check this out for you and good luck!

    Di.
