I wish I had done my ironing now cause its only got be done tomorrow but hey may do it later when something good on the TV.

I emailed my adjudicator today to tell them that i had been looking through my SAR from co-op and that two of the loans were for consolidation. Does this make a difference to misselling or not??? Not heard anything back as yet (never have any replies to my emails from any of them not even just to say they have received them) as my adjudicator must be having some time off:eek:

Spoll did ring the FOS again after i found this out and apparently they can now send the complaint back in on the info yesterday. I am glad to see someone is looking out for others here. Thanks for that, but if you see the posts made by spoll just after this one it stated that they could resend the complaint in and it would be looked at again.

Hi all - I have an update for you...

The claim is now being investigated by the FOS - had the letter stating there is a big waiting list etc but it is in the queue so that's the main thing.

Anyway, my parents got a letter from Norton Finance today saying they understand that our my grievance is that we didn't fully understand that we would be paying for the PPI over the term of the loan when we'd only be covered for the first 5. They then went on to say that they want to increase their offer from £1700 to £2500 and that this 'offer' runs out next friday.

Anyway altohugh not fully sure how much my dad is due back I think it is around about 9k so in the context of things 2.5k is not a great offer. My dad has indicated that potenitally he'd be willing to settle for around 6k although he is also willing to hold out for the full rebate. Do you think I should send a letter to Norton saying we'd accept 6k which ultimately would save them a few K or shall we 'risk' going on with the ombusman?

I think we're edging towards refusing their offer and taking our chance - I'd appreciate anybodys view on what they would do if they were in our position. Also, as much as a partial rebate would help my dad clear a few debts, if he got the full amount back it would probably clear everything so this is another reason why we should hold out.

    Thanks in advance,

    Spoll

Been in a similar position to this before and I would hold out for your full amount here and nothing less. They are obviously frightened of this or would not offer what they have. Could you get the case fast tracked by the FOS for being in financial difficulties or health probs etc. I would not ask them for the 6K unless you are willing to accept something lower from them. My advice here would be to hold out for the full amount with the FOS and also tell them you are doing this too. Ask for the fast tracking if you are having to take other debts out.

Hi mine were all on miss-selling and ultimately on consolidation which means fingers crossed I should get more back cause the PPI I had paid on 1st loan affected 2nd loan and 1st and 2nd loan affected 3rd loan.

When I have e mailed my adjudicator and he was out I got an automatic reply but I always but a "read request" on mine so do not know if that makes a difference.;)

    Hi Spoll

Would be very cautious if they are upping offer think they may be teasing you. Do not know the figures you were meant to be getting back. If you have not pasted them on here then do so and somebody will be able to give you some idea. If you have done that already I apologise cause I must have missed it. Its like getting blood out of a stone with lots of these. Think they rely on everyone being desperate.

Good luck here hunni I hope you come out a winner here and I know you will.

If you don't mind me asking you hun, when you consolidated your first loan, did they rebate much from your first loan ?
As I assume even though these were mis sold is it just that of the remainder of the rebate that they did not give in a rebate your complaining on here ?
Cheers hun as I am in the same situation as you with one of my current reclaims.;)

(sorry if I have missed this along the line here hun).;)
