Need to pop out for a little while, shouldn't be too long, will get my older son to check the emails and listen out for the phone, hubby did also leave his moby number just in case.
Back soon.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I see.
I have not heard anything yet from AFB and if they do get back at all I don't think it will be until tomorrow now because the office hours are almost over, yet the other where I am persistantly trying to contact finish at either 6 or half past, something like that.
I have a gut feeling about this hun and really don't know why the compliance guy has a problem in responding to my emails and all, do you think they are trying to find more time in putting something together, he could at least email back to say something !
Di, have you just rang the AFB, i am lost here?? I thought you rang them just and spoke to that man.I didn't email, i rang them??
Just looked again and you emailed them did you??
Oops, so quick at reading.. I would perhaps ring them tomorrow. Its so easy for an email to get lost don't you think.0 -
Good luck to both of you today.
Wish I could ring the FCSC to see how things are going but they 've only had my form for 18 days !!!

I had an M&S Storecard originally that was then transferred over to their M&S &More Mastercard. No transfer of balance occured.0 -

Still even if they are biding there time a courtesy call would not go amiss here, i even had emails all the time from my "friends" . At least they acknowledged my emails and although did not answer i actually did get courtesys.

Yes hun, emailed and while waiting for a reply by email, hubby wanted to call them, we was told that they were unable to intervene with this and apologise for the company treating us this way.
They then said about the FOS after giving them the timescale (8 weeks) to respond, then hubby told them this has been going on for a few months and a new issue of concern has come in since and we WERE TOLD that we would get a response last week and now today but nothing, they said "sorry there is abolutely nothing they can do"......
The FOS will not deal with it anyway they were not under Jurisdiction, we told them that too !The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

We asked for the director by phone a few times only to be told he was not available, so I said okay then the compliance manager, she said he will get back to before the end of the day ! Not nice there !!! And now no answer !!!
Every email sent is posted to both compliance & director, because when it was emailed to the director before he would always send them on to the compliance manager to respond for him.....:rolleyes:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

They don't ask, they just force them on you - no PPI, no loan and then they sell it with thing of "you have to think of this as a savings plan in that you get it back after 5 years" but forget to tell you that its a loan thats front loaded and you will get very little back if you cancel and also it does not cover the full term of the loan and also you are going to pay interest on it for the full term of the loan. (and often we will use rule 78 to calculate your early settlement on the PPI as well).
PS - Rule of 78 is not illegal on insurance premium refunds ... you need to consider that most companies were not offering rule of 78 on 100%...hence why the refunds are so poor. They basically start at anything from about 50% - then apply rule of 78 against that starting point! Get the picture. I recall Swift being one of the worst ... I think they started on something like Rule of 78 against 15% of the premium.0 -
Advisors only have to offer alternative if they advise on alternative products. Notwithstanding Sales Practices - PPI is optional. Companies who only sell one PPI product, don't have to consider others as they can't advise on others. EPF (Endevour - part of HFC) were fined for PPI issues - largely due to the fact that they offered a single premium and regular premium product - but only offered Regular premium product to very small minority - even if this was the more suitable for the customer.

Hi there Tron_ess
Hope your good.
I am waiting for a response from Endeavour now.
They have under a week left to respond, then its off to the FOS otherwise.
Not getting any luck with Click though, as you may be aware they said they would respond last Friday, then informed us they were unable to but will for Monday (today), I have kept on and nothing !!
Also wrote/spoke to the AFB too this afternoon and was told there was nothing they can do, even though the director of Click is also a director of the AFB !!!The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
