    Hi there hun
Some of these selling agents can be very crafty I know...... .

May I ask when this was hunni?

I assume they give 3 free months then expect you to carry on with it afterwards, am I correct ?
And if gone 3 months are the insurance payments being taken out?

    Cheers
    Di.

Yes I signed a contract for them do recover the money for me but what I didn't know was that they were going to charge me for canceling the PPI that I could have done. I wrote a letter to them on the 12/08/2008 and have not received a reply to it all the sent me was a final notice before getting bailiffs involved. They say they got me in compensation £1117.20p thy say it is made up of two parts 1st is £488.38 which I will receive in cheque and the 2nd part is £628.82p which is the removal of the rest of the PPI. My argument with them is that the removal I could have done myself so am I being charged for it. I have received the cheque for £488.38p if I pay them there charges with they say is £328.18 (25%+vat on £1117.20) I'll be left with £160.20p
All claims management companies have to to regulated by the Ministry of Justice (Claims Management Regulations Unit) to be regulated they have to have a complaints procedure, whereby you write in detailing your complaint, they should then investigate and write back to you - if they haven't they are in breach of the claims management regulations and you should make a formal complaint to the Ministry of Justice at the following web site www.claimsregulation.gov.uk -make sure you copy in Conkers as 'a courtesy' - I think you'll find they'll back down - also I personally think they are bang out of order for charging you for the cancelled part of the insurance (ie for the premiums you hadn't yet paid) they should only have charged you their % on the amount of money actually repaid back to you !!!! Claims Management Companies have a bad enough reputation without actually ripping people off !

I think the best thing would be a complaint to the Ministry of Justice - the Claims Regulation Unit !! their CRM number is CRM1409

Just double checking the dates from when I sent that first letter to Endeavour about the "unfair rebate-settlement", this was dated 23rd July 2008, will have to check on the calendar, for 8 weeks from there, think this maybe next week or the week after.......

Co-op bank have just ignored my SAR. Its over 40 days now and they cashed my cheque a month ago and then sent me details of my bank charges and nothing else. I did have a phone call from a top man who assured me that they would comply but its now over 40 days. I don't think i will bother with it as the complaint is with the ombudsman now. Its so annoying how they treat us. They said they did not know what i wanted and i told them everything to do with the loans. It was all stated in my letter.

Got it wrong - 5 days to go...

I don't think i would bother with the ICO again after last time. I contacted them about Firstplus and they were not interested at all. I think they are so snowed under that they take no notice. I have also complained about a Data thing and they were not interested in that one. I know i tell others to contact the ICO as that is procedure but from my experience they were not worth the bother.

    thanks Di. PM'd ya
