HI everyone! Could anyone please guide me to reclaim PPI on two loans I have with the AA. I took them both out in 2005, and have written to them to send me a copy of the loan agreement ( a month ago) but I have not heard from them. When I call them, they tell me the copies ''have been ordered'' but they cannot tell me when they would recieve it (from their head office). All help appreciated.RegardsPG0

Hi All!
At the end of last year, I wrote to Halifax on behalf of my partner to complain about the Mis-sold PPI.
Basically, he thought that if he took out PPI, then it will get him more of a chance of having a loan.
I had already had arranged insurance for my partner for Ant Insurance, so I didn't see the need for this, so I arranged to go get it cancelled, when I had discovered he had the PPI- in November last year.
To cancel PPI, Halifax explained we had to take out a new loan, with no PPI, to pay off the old loan.
We went to the branch to do this, and the new loan was declined-
So I wrote a complaint.
They wrote back on Dec 13th to decline my complaint.
Since I was doing my dissertation at the time, and we were arranging to move house etc etc, I just left it at that. (Unfotunatly my partner is not one to complain, or write letters, so I couldn't leave it in his hands).
Now that we are settled into new house, I saw that some people mentioned that banks tend to decline the first letter of complaint- so now I would like to carry the complaint on. But we are out of the 6 month deadline to put forward to FOS.
Would it be worth me sending Halifax another letter of complaint?
(we have managed- just last month- to get the PPI cancelled at the bank.
The original sales person said she couldn't understand why we were denied the first time, and that she'd get back to us, but she didn't- and it really sucks that to get things sorted, the customer has to be SO on top of things- which is hard when I'm trying to sort out my own things as well as partners!! lol)
Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!!0 -

Hi hun
Give them another ring, tell them you have been told the agreements are on order ages ago and you still not received them and ask why are they taking so long.
With mine even though it cost £10 cheque payment I requested a SAR which is a Subject Access Request where they must send ALL the information they have on your accounts so in other words the £10 will and should cover both of these loan accounts. They MUST comply to send this to you within 40 days deadline from on the day they receive the request.
I would tell them on the phone you need the agreements or you will contact the Information Commissioners Office(ICO) to complain.
See if they hurry then. Worth a shot.;)
If you need further details hun of the above just give us a yell when one of us will be back to help all we can.;)
Hopefully they will supply these without you having to fork out any money to request a SAR.;)

Aww bless you hun, loads of ((((hugs))) and BIG SMILES to you too.:D  .
Yes start with ringing Capital One.
If you do this tomorrow, please post up and let me know what they say and I will get back to you as soon as I can tomorrow okay.
If you do not get any success with these I think maybe you could ring the FSA someone like them,or some governing body, because it could be you will be sort of pushed from pillar to post...... , you don't need this.
Good luck hun, I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi there.
And yes definately write to them again, this may have to be classed as a brand new complaint.
Even though the first letters are generally standard fob off's like you said hun, so please don't give up.
I know what you mean, I have to deal with hubby's too, he would not know where to start.
Yes go for it, if you need further info and help just yell.;)
There are templates on this site you can help use for the letter, if they respond by fobbing you off again you may have to write again until they give you a FINAL response, on that letter if final they should add you will be able to go to the Financial Ombudsman Service at that stage.
Also when you do receive the final response you have 6 months from that date to take it to the FOS.
Good luck and keep fighting.;)

Hey there.
I'm hoping some kind soul here might be able to help me out.
I recently noticed an addition to my Egg Card statements which I have never noticed before: CREDIT CARD REPAYMENT PROTECTOR.
I have never knowingly agreed to this service, nor have I requested it, nor has it always been there.
But it is currently costing me £18 a month which I cannot afford.
When I raised the issue with Egg, then just fobbed me off by telling me that "no sir, you did agree to the service". But if I knew nothing about it until the charge started appearing on my account then surely I have had it mis-sold?
Can anyone advise me on how to put in a claim? I am very confused as to which information is relevant to my situation in the template letter.
Yours hopefully, Al.0 -

Hi there Al.;)
As usual these will fob you off first going off.
Have you the signed agreement for this ? Did they supply you with a copy which they should have done.
If you did not request it, and besides you may not have been eligible, so I would try to dig out the agreement if you cannot find it request a copy of this by 12 days, then take it from there on sending a reclaim complaint letter.
If they had added this without your knowledge then it was mis sold to you, there's one reason at least, but on the front page site you should come across a template reclaim letter where there is a list of reasons, use this and delete what does not occur to you.
If you do not want to wait for the agreement I would get the reclaim letter done now.;)
Try this link for template.
http://images2.moneysavingexpert.com/attachment/ppistep1.rtf
If it does not work then if you look above this site there is a little red box where it states, 'reclaim £1'000's', press on that then it will explain what to do from there.
If you need further info, please just let us know.
Don't worry at this stage and we will try to get through this.;)

sorry if this has been asked before.
Have received letter from BoS saying I can cancel my PPP but my rebate will be credited to my loan balance. Have they the right to do this or can I ask for the rebate to be paid to me?0
