I actually told di today that there is some "click finances" still trading and she said that they are completely different. She said that they are still trading but not the same group as before. Surely they have some obligations.

Note in the legal bit something about Gibraltar.

Re Click. Check the IDD, the Initial Closure Doc, which should have been issued at point of sale as this has the FSA number; and crosscheck. If different complain to FOS stating known info about Click. If FOS cannot recover a file they will have to uphold the complaint. FOS will then arrange payment either through any Professional Indemnity insurance held by Click before closure or thru the FSCS. If any Click directors are the same as the liquidated company we must assume they told the FSA. Or they have problems.

Re Click. Sorry forgot to say go to FSA register, FSA no 311877, click names and you will see all the old Click companies, and they are still liable.

Thanks folks for all your helpful information here regarding Click.;)

My loan was arranged by click in July 2004, they were not then regulated..... , but the compliance guy Ted Colegate, was the guy was told us first the company that dealt with our product was nothing to do with them, as these had taken over the company, as also confirmed by the liquidators, but I going by some of the information considering the one click finance brokers dissolved I note some members on that FSA site are still active, but we had already tried pursing for this before we were made aware they were dissolved, Ted Colegate just passed the liquidators contact details on to us...... .

    Confusing I say.......

You've all been wonderful looking into this for my, so helpful indeed, thank you so much.;)

Had a quick nose through the SAR documents, most of these are that of their providers Endeavour Personal Finance, but have bits of what I would call underwriters paperwork from when Click sold the loan, not a lot of information really but the address is:

    Click Finance
    Victoria House
    23 - 27 South Street
    Farnham
    Surrey
    GUP 7QU

At the top of the page it states '1 click Loan Ltd'
01252731171 (not sure if this is a serial number of not)

Then at the bottom of the page it states
Reg. Office: Carmellile (this bit not sure spelt right because its blemished)
50, Victoria Embankment, London EC4Y QDX or ODX
Reg In England No 1165160 or maybe it is 1185160 (need a magnifying glass here lol), so a bit of this and that really........

Clicked in that link and copied and posted this:
Castle Wealth Management Limited (CWM) is a trading partner of the Click Group and registered in Gibraltar, company registration number (93004) at 932 Europort. CWM is regulated by the Financial Services Commission of Gibraltar. CWM introduces prospective customers to CFL.

On my paperwork provided by Click it has 'Title Number' CWM158558, which means Castle Wealth Management Limited is a trading partner of the Click Group !!

    Hi all

Right apologies in advance for lengthy post but a bit complicated.

My husband and I took out a secured loan with Barclays in Dec 2005 for £72,000!
(yes I know, but we were desperate and had to consoplidate after paying out my ex-husband).
We were offered PPI and this was added to the loan in one lump sum. Upon researching things we think we were definitely mis-sold this.

Recently I have become extremely ill, and am currently awaiting life-threatening surgery. We were strugglng to pay the bills and upon trying to claim on our policy we were told that I was not covered as the second party on the policy. News to us, why are we both held responsible for it then? We were also advised when taking the policy out that it would help us a) get teh loan,b) be a great savings plan as you get back £17,632.80 after 5 years if you have had no claims c) I'm self-employed and already had other life insurance d) I had pre-existing medical illnesses which we discussed with them

We sent the 1st template letter to BArlcays a few weeks ago and have received a phone call since, they were very pleasant but say that they feel the policy was not mis-sold, however they are willing to pay £7000 towards the loan.

At first we thought this was great and then upon looking into things we feel that it should be alot more, what I need is someone on here to look at our loan info and calculate what we are entitled to.

    Am I right in thinknig the following;

Loan: £72,000 (629.86 per month, although variable)
PPI :(added to loan when we took it out) £17,632.80 (£154.26 per month)
Total: £89,632.80 ( monthly £784.12 on 9.9% variable so now £896.00 per month)
    number of payments: 300
number of payment made to date: 30

We have currently paid £4627 in ppi payments over the 30 months -
so we are due this back

However shouldn't the PPI (£17,632.80 - £4627) = £13005 by taken off the loan which will bring it back to £72,000 (as if we hadn't taken the ppi)
and then the payments we have made to the loan over the last 30 months be recalculated to reduce the interest and hence the loan further?

This means that their £7000 offer of knocking it off the loan is appauling, plus we want the $4627 in our pocket.

Please help - they are calling us today and then I need to send them the 2nd template letter with a figure that we would be happy with.

If I am wrong let me know and I'll bit their hand off re: £7K offer but something smells fishy!!

    Many thanks

Thx again for this information Marshallka.

I was thinking hun, even though the actual company dissolved, the group proves to be still active, do you think I should SAR them, if they send this back the way I see it is they still have some responsibility and obligations and so, if not as you know they will send back to fee.......;) , what do you think hun ?

    Cheers
    Di.
