do i need to prove to welcome that i have a ppi that will cover my payments or are they just lying again
sorry, what's the question ?? If you've told them you've already got a ppi policy in place and that's why you believe the policy they sold you was mis sold then I suppose it's only reasonable for them to obtain proof

Just received my SAR from Freedom. It consists of Application (already got from FP) front copy of agreement (already got from FP) two wageslips, copy of bank statement, copy of direct debit mandate, and a couple of docs about purchase of house. They have even sent back the cheque for £10 as they say thats all they have. I still can't tell if they were ever involved.

Ps tiggrae, did you get to read my letter about Bespoke?freedom i sent to all three of FOS, FSA and OFT. Its a long one but says it all.

It was April 2003 - does this mean I have already wasted 3 months waiting on the FO and could wait about another 3-6 for them just to tell me they can't help?

Tiggrae (or anyone else?) can you confirm this? Am I wasting my time waiting to hear from FO?

banks have always been covered by the FOS so they could sort out bank charges, but the independent lenders only came under the compulsory jurisdiction of the FOS on 15.01.05

Sorry I worded that wrong it wasn't bank charges it was a credit card - so FO can do credit card charges for Capital One but not ppi?

if you live in Scotland (?) and the Company you're dealing with is Scottish then you have to use the Sherriffs Court - their limit in the small claims court is £750, as apposed to the County Court in England which is £5000. Also, you have to issue writs and is quite complicated so you invariably need a scottish solicitor, whereas in England you can do it yourself

The small claims limit has been raised in January to £1500 (I think). Maybe I was lucky with my bank charges as I only filled in a form, paid £44 and that was it - mind you they did settle before the date (HBOS and Capital One).
