When i google karacus it comes up as lowcostloans.co.uk and its again feedom finance

    here is the link
    http://www.lowcostloans.co.uk/bankhall/_popups/legal_information.asp

It was lowcostloans.co.uk that actually sent a fax to land registry and if you look at the legal information for these its the same set up as Bespoke Finance. Did Bespoke Finance take over lowcostloans.co.uk as a sort of fiddle and then set up offices in Gibrlatar. I am beginning to think this is a matter for the courts alone.

Ok so as i see it (and correct me if i'm wrong)

Freedom Finance (Operating as Lowcostloans)(broker) - Firstplus (Loan company)
Freedom Finance (Broker) - Bespoke Finance (Part of Freedom Finance)(Insurance company)

Either way I stand corrected (sorry Kaia). Your argument and that letter i drafted should be sent to freedom finance.

Yes thats correct but Bespoke Finance (insurance company) i don;t know about. I never had no dealings with Bespoke Finance and i think lowcostloans - Karacus don't operate now so thats why they have directed me to these. Its based in Gibraltar so its a set up for things like this i think. I will not deal with them as i do not know them. Freedom sent my complaint there and they replied to me. I have found another just like mine here

    Hi Guys

Hope someone can help. After doing well on the PPI reclaiming front I have now hit a wall with Freedom finance. As far as I am concerned I dealt directly with them and got a loan with I-group (with PPI) I paid off the loan in 2005. I have duly contacted Freedom Finance with one of Martins template letters that have worked for me before.

Today I received a letter from FF statting that'...in this intance Freedom Finance processed this application on behalf of Bespoke Finance (formerly Karacus). In this instance Bespoke have the responsibility to handle your complaint.'

Now I have never heard of Bespoke Finance or Karacus until today, and am I missing something here? Surely Freedom Finance were the ones who sold me PPI during me arranging the loan, afterall they were the company I phoned!

Im in two minds to write back and say they were the representatives who sold me the loan and PPI and demand compensating appropiately.

    Any advice would be welcome.

:j P.S. My Dad is coming home, good news, he is on the mend!:j

I have only just found this out - but I had a few drinkypoos for you on Sat!!!

Deep breath here goes - about 3 1/2 months ago I printed off martins 1st and 2nd template letters for my dad for a loan with TSB - he was adamant that he wasn't going to sign them (he's old school and doesn't really like to discuss things like this) - think mum held a gun to his head and he signed the 1st one - got a reply saying no - mum then held a double barreled shotgun to his head and he signed the 2nd one which mum sent off - got a letter offering him just short of £600 + £170 ish interest - he took this and has had it paid into his bank about 3 weeks ago, (me and mum reckon he owes us big time) this loan was renewed and when he settled the original one they gave him a rebate of £500 ish, anyway mum !!!!!!!ised the original letter and sent it off again for the new loan, they have replied saying no (reply in about 10 days by the way) - sent another copy of martins 2nd letter on Sat morning adding to it that the salesperson stated that because he had PPI on the 1st loan and that he was renewing it, he had to have it on the new one (this loan was over 4 years and he paid his last payment in may - yipppeee). Mum and dad have only just told me all this so i was quite pleased that they had listened to me after all!! (they don't normally) Oh and also (totally unrelated to PPI but....) - dad got his home insurance renewal on Fri and it had gone up by nearly £150 (were they trying to get some money back cos the address was the same that the Loan PPI letters went/came from) anyway I phoned them up and gave them both barrells - the poor bloke couldn't get a word in edgeways - result - premium reduced by £220 - hope this all makes sense to you - !!!!

Hope I get the same result - keep it up everyone - hope you all had a good weekend!
LTSB PPI - £770 ish for dad
LTSB PPI for dad - £1800 for dad
    Barclays PPI claim for self-£2204
Dads home insurance - reduced by £200 a year "WE DO NOT LIVE IN FLOOD AREA AND I DON'T SEE WHY WE SHOULD PAY FOR THOSE THAT DO - I WANT TO SPEAK TO YOUR SUPERVISOR"!

    Hi Laini,
Yes I sent a SAR and got all my statements back from them. They didnt have a copy of the agreement (and I don't have one either) but the loan statements show the PPI added onto the total amount of the loan as a lump sum.

Their letter did not say it was the final repsonse, so I want to try one more letter before going to the Ombudsman.

I want it to be a really good letter, so any help would be appreciated.

I want to highlight the points that:

I wasn't told the insurance was optional
The insurance was added to the loan as a lump sum
the first insurance premium wasnt refunded when I took out the 2nd loan

I want to put the legal reasons why these are not allowed. So any help with that would be great.

    Thanks
    Claire
    Hi Claire
I will draft a letter on it for you
Please give me a day or so and I will post it up for everyone to see and comment and add bits on before you send it.
    speak to you soon
    Laini xx:j
still fighting for my money !!!

Thats why i said send the letter i drafted for you. That way freedom finance will know you are serious and holding them responsible. Let them whinge to Bespoke or the other companies. At the end of the day they have received money from both the other companies for brokering the deal and therefore they are responsible. I will shut up now:D.

Don't shut up M colak. Thanks for helping and i have drafted the letter now. I have signed it and my hubby too and its waiting for the post office tomorrow. Lets hope i don't get a reply of "sorry this matter has to be dealt with by Bespoke". Back to square one then. If they do i will still do the court thing with them as its them responsible on the whole if they sold it. I am complaining to the FOS about maybe FIrstplus selling it (as yet have no proof of Freedom) and then going to Freedom too. One will take responsibilty somehow.

Should i have copies of these insurance documents in my SAR as they have nothing and have only sent copies of the policy terms etc. Nothing with our signatures on.
