Good so in that case they have not thrown it back to you then ?;)
And so they shouldn't either.
Phew thats a relief.:T
Now I know its only been a few weeks that I received the last letter about Endeavour which was the acknowledgment, wonder if that was in the same pile as your last one ?
Just curious........ and anxious:rolleyes:0 -
Hello All
Dunno if I am just being dim, but is there an easier way of searching through posts ? At the moment I click Last Page and just work my way back - takes me ages sometimes to find a post I'm looking for (especially as my pc works on snail speed) !!

Aww your daughter is 4 months old then, aww there's sweet, I bet she is a real beauty.;) :A .
Well done anyway hun, brill news.
And with pleasure, your very welcome, please just post anytime and we hope you have a good outcome out of this.
We look forward to hearing about it when you have the response, but hun, if they say they will not uphold it, do not worry, because the main of us receive the first letter as a bog standard fob off letter, and another is sent to them after if this is the case, so we will keep it all crossed that this will be successful first time round.:j.

Sorry, Di - just one more quick question if you don't mind...?
Until this is all resolved, should I still keep making the payments to Creation Consumer Finance? Should I inform them I have contacted Carcraft about misselling me the policy? I don't want to make a mess of my credit status if they default me for not paying or something, but on the other hand it would be nice if I didn't have to!
Cheers,

Hi again
They have sent me a full breakdown of the transactions we made
Briefly, the amount of advance was £22,000
they then immediately added on £4384.60 (so why is there a different figure on the CCA?) taking the total to £26,384.60
then monthly payments of initially £215.01 and monthly interest of approx £182
this then left a balance to pay on 18.3.08 which was £25,319.31
I know which letter to send next about disputing the PPI policy, but I am not sure how much I should ask for? should I deduct the £1054.04 that was given as a rebate on settlement? (the balance of £25,319.31 was excluding this rebate but including an admin charge of £150 also), should I add on any interest? I've seen something about 8% somewhere
Also the formula they use for refunds of PPI on settlement says 25% if 12 months have passed, this is on the policy that they have sent today (which I have never had a copy of before now!!!)
On the CCA the only formula it gives for rebate on early settlement are examples if a quarter of the term has passed, half, and 3/4 but the term of the full loan was for 264 months and we were only 12 months in!Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00 -
Just realised, the different figure on the CCA for the PPI is not the PPI policy amount, it is the charge for credit which is £5048.12Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00

marshallka wrote: »I had four loans with the co-op. They have offered goodwill on one of them. The lowest PPI:mad: . The adjudicator has now asked the co-op if they want to offer goodwill on the others too as this then does not admit anything and they have not got a red tick against them with the FOS if you know what I mean. If they say "no" then he will have to adjudicate it I assume.
I have had confirmation that all four loans are being looked at on the one complaint though.
The redress they offered was that of full and final like I said a few days ago. Can you remember posting to it??
Yes I remember:D its all becoming bright and clear again now. Sorry Marshallka was feeling like I had treacle running around in my head. Up early back late and tiring work then coming home and doing business stuff:eek:
Am on the case now and will try to keep up:rotfl::mad:0 -
marshallka wrote: »If you were sold this without being asked if your like this PPI then you have been missold. You make your complaint against the company (ie Carcraft) that sold the PPI to you. Di has written a reply as to the template letter to get sent in and also add/delete as many reasons as are applicable to your sale. You then give them 8 weeks for a full and final response to this after which time you can then take your complaint to the FOS. As this was taken out in 2006 the FSA held the reins for the sale of insurance and they had lots of rules about these sales and most complaints taken to the FOS are upheld.
Send everything recorded delivery and let us know how you get on.
If you need any more help then just shout away.
Good luck
thanks so far
letter went today - lets see if i get a reply before xmas?!?!?
now that would be handy if succesfull!
ill keep you posted and good luck everyone else.0 -
Can someone advise me on something.
I was a bit thick and believed welcome finance when they said I need PPI. I took a loan out with them about 2 weeks ago, I am paying £90ish a month but I checked the breakdown and a lot of that is PPI payments. The box to include insurance was already ticked before I received it and I thought that was normal practise?
Is there any way I can cancel the PPI on my loan to reduce the payments or am I stuck with it?
Thanks in advance0 -

marshallka wrote: »My last one was only taken off the pile cause it has been coupled with my one from May 08 and they have now put it forward. I also wrote to them that if they could not look into this I wanted to take this to the courts and I only had until March next year and if it takes them 6 months to get this sorted it is going to leave me short. I did not get this fast tracked. I rang to clarify their letter today and they say they have now attached my new one to my original one which I disputed or in their words appealed against. I just don;t know how these unfair rebates work out. I have stated my amount in my email to them and put my workings out too. From that email I have now got this looked into.:D
Well done I am soooooooo happy.........:D :T :j :j :j  , I feel like this is my complaint lol.......:D:T .
