So I assume that your adjudicator has returned from sick leave then was it ?
And wasn't it holiday leave before that ? Or was that another one ?

I think my lloyds complaint has been with the adjudicator for approx 3 weeks now and he did tell me on the phone when he rang me that I can contact him anytime by his direct email and/or telephone, but yes I know what you mean, if you cannot get through to speak then that is very frustrating and not receiving any replies either.
So maybe a hardcopy in the post then just to be on the safe side.;)
Di, I am fed up of the adjudicators and all the whole Ombudsman service here. To me they have yet to prove themselves. Everyone seems to rave about them but I am just annoyed with them. Its no different than the companies really and to me the companies have the upper hand too.

Why should I have to send a hard copy. Laini told me she always emailed and after all why have the option if you never actually read and reply to them.

    the system stinks.

then don't - but you created the confusion in the first place - it's your claim you deal with it as you wish
    I created the confusion???

    By asking one question here??
    Thanks Tiggrae for the support....

    I thought questions were allowed??

this is what you put - you asked my advise at the time and I said I thought it would create confusion (as it has) and they wouldn't know what your claim was about - I also advised you write and clarify what your complaint was about - which you did but by email which unfortunately wasn't read properly

I have provided you with an awful lot of support (remember who suggested you make this complaint in the first place) so I think you're being a bit unfair !

Could I also add to this complaint about the rule of 78 being used in the settlement of our loan in that it breached the OFT unfair terms in consumer contracts regs because its an unfair penallty. My orginal complaint is of unfair rebate of the PPI and also the loan too if you are able to look into this. If I need to go for a completely new complaint with this then would someone let me know asap.

    Yeah hun I do understand.;)
I always emailed too but only maybe once or twice I have had to send extra info by hardcopy as there was a huge gap in the time they did not respond to my emails and phone call messages etc, yet as soon as they received my hard copy they emailed me back that day to say say thank you for your letter and so and so.
But yep I do use emails for a nudge, like I also recommended to Laini too.;)
Now that they have taken on these new adjudicators with a bit of luck things will speed up, because its very frustrating I know.

Anyone made a reclaim of PPI from "NEXT Directory" I have been paying for last 20 years what a waste of money, I know you can only claim for 6 years, I do not have statements for 6 years can I still make a claim and they just pay back all the payments I have made over last 6 years?

I asked a question. All they had to do was reply to it in that "no this has to be a seperate complaint for this matter. I was only asking??

I then waited for a reply near on two weeks and did not get one. I did ASK if I could add this, not TELL them to add this, and also I asked if they could reply ASAP. I said "if I need to go for a completely different complaint on this then could you please get back to me asap". I just thought they would reply.

I then called them about the email and also emailed them back to state that my question of the 15th September was resolved and that I had called them and that I was told during the conversation to send in a completely seperate complaint to which i did and received an acknowledgement on 25th September.

I then thought no more of this as I had responded to my original email and also called them and they told me they had adjusted this on my complaint for unfair rebate.

Today I received this complaint form "pre filled in by them" and a letter to say that they had written to FIrstplus on my behalf about the use of CCA Section 78 in settlement. I phoned them up and she said then looked through my emails and could SEE that I had emailed them and told them to amend my complaint accordingly and also that I had myself raised a new complaint and then told me that they had made a mistake here by doing this. I had covered myself completely. I sent a recorded delivery letter along with the new complaint and also emailed them.

Why is this always the fault of the consumer. Why can this not be the fault of the Ombudsman here. I only asked a question and asked them to get back to me on this one. They did not.

Its not my fault that they did not read the emails and letters. We always complain to companies about this so why not the Ombudsman. I feel like the bad guy here and don't know why. THEY did NOT read me email correct. Like I say, when its a broker or lender that does not read stuff we are down on them like a ton of bricks.

Perhaps I should just ask them to cancel all my compaints and have done with it. Can't see this stress is doing any good.

because if you read what you put - you say in the first sentence 'Can I also add to this complaint.....

at the end you say 'If I need to go for a new complaint then to let you know asap'...........

but it's the first sentence they've acted on - under what they believed to be your instructions they've added to your complaint - what need to do now is put it right (regardless of who's in the wrong) - that's why I suggested writing letter of clarification

I know I was very frustrated with mine and hopefully with a bit of luck it will not be returned to me again, I know it may take a while for me to know this as I think its a few weeks now they have received this but did receive the acknowledgment letter so far, okay I did also have that one with the first complaint about mis selling, so with a bit of luck they will look at this as a brand new complaint and not be returned again.... .

Hope you 2 are okay ??:o xx

hi unfortunately go for a claim for mis selling means you have to make the claim for when the PPI was first 'sold' - in your case it was 20 years ago which is outside the 6 year limit set within the Statute of Limitations Act 1980 - you could try action in the County Court but I think it's likely you're claim will be struck out as being statute barred as it refers to an event 20 years ago - sorry about that, probably not what you wanted to here but there's no use throwing good money after bad
