My money was in the account on the 11mar. I'm really fed up with them now...i have 5p validated and thats where its going to stop. You get more things rejected than validated these days.

I have just stumbled across this thread, not sure If anyone still looks, but Ill try for nowt.

Is anyone else struggling to get a response from Greasy Palm? My ticket querying a missing £50 transaction has sat in the queue waiting for a response for well over 2 weeks now, slightly worrying considering the current climate and the collapse of the DMG.

Getting a response from Greasy Palm is like trying to get blood out of a stone. Things were fine in the beginning when I didn't have any issues with them and didn't need to contact them, but when I certain payments failed to show up their system made it very difficult to lodge specific issues and some issues never got a response. The only way I could get a response in the end was to write a very irate letter to them, which I did get a reponse to and some of my issues were resolved. However, I haven't bothered using my account for months now due to their unreliability, since there are much better and more reliable sites out there.

My advice - write to them to resolve the issue, and once resolved give them a wide berth!

• Just thought I would let you know my experience so others don't lost out when choosing to use GP.

I was looking to purchase home insurance. With the £50 cashback, going through GP made it the cheapest option i.e. it was more expensive but with the cashback, made it cheaper.

I clicked through the links to get my quote, went back to the quote and whilst making payment to Aviva, their website crashed. I didn't know whether they had my payment or not so had to ring them. The guy I spoke to was having problems with the system as well. Anyway, payment hadn't been taken and I gave him the details over the phone for payment.

Cashback never appeared in my account so I logged a missing transaction. Turns out I am not entitled to the £50 because I didn't wholly complete on line. Seems a bit of con to me and an excuse not to pay out. Needless to say my GP account is being closed.

Just thought I would warn others to be careful when going through GP and make sure if you are going to use them, complete wholly on line.:mad::mad:
• I was supposed to get my cashback by bacs on 01/12/10 so far no sign of it surly i don't have to wait 10 days for into go into my bank?

Are they send out cheques instead?

Does anybody have a contact email for GP or is neil@greasypalm.co.uk still available??
• The only way I've managed to get a human response from them was to write to them. They were just far too unreliable for my liking so I shut my account down. I'm finding that more and more of these cashback/point earning sites are becoming unreliable and have stopped using most of my accounts

How do you shut down a Greasy Palm account? I have tried their helpdesk using keywords such as cancel, delete and close, but nothing comes up.

I'm fed up getting third party emails even though their site says :
Is my email address and personal data secure with you?
Yes.
We are registered with the Data Protection Act and our privacy policy explicitly states:
"We do not share, sell or rent your email address, postal address or any other data we hold about you to any third party."

The spam emails that come state :
We assure you that we do not disclose any personally identifiable information to our clients. We will not use your personally identifiable information to advertise, promote or market goods or services to you. Privacy Policy. This email has not been broadcast by Nielsen - you have received this communication because you have opted in to receive third party offers from Submission Technology.

I haven't opted in.

• Hi,

I am having a real problem with GreasyPalm and their response now is to ignore me. I accrued over £67 which I planned to use as Amazon Vouchers for Christmas. On the 25th September I clicked to claim my vouchers and never heard anything more.

GreasyPalm are not usually the fastest website at responding so I left it a little while to see when it would appear.

On Oct 22nd it still hadn't arrived and I emailed to chase and was told the voucher had expired due to none claim!

I have tried explaining what happened and the importance of the vouchers and after initially responding with a "Tough Luck" attitude they are now just blanking me.

This is really unfair and upsetting, the site doesn't give an instant acknowledgement that you request has been received so you have no way of knowing where things are until it is too late (in my case).

They proudly boast on their site about the millions of pounds they have helped people collect but they have made no offer of help with me even after all my contacting and now appear to have stopped even being prepared to discuss this.

To anyone thinking of using the site I would think twice and if you still do, when you claim your money raise a helpdesk query immediately for solid confirmation that you will be paid.

This is really disappointing and upsetting and I am sad that GreasyPalm have decided to deal with a loyal user this way.
