Woo, just ordered mine. Nice find, if this comes off mrspeel, it will be moneysave of the year - not that I'm getting over excited I'm sure Homebase will find some way of worming out of it.
  • Can Ffroggit please explain what you wrote in plain english? i.e the nitty gritty, do we get the tvs or not?

Personally i think we could all challenge them if they do not honour this price..

You could challenge them, but a court would throw your case out, you'd have to make a case that 49p was a believable bargain. Which of course you'd never be able to do, you wouldnt even be able to get anywhere near that price.

If it doesnt come off, move on...
  • Something else to note about the TV - it's a digital TV. It's got a built in freeview decoder and top up tv card slot.
In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

  • No confirmation email yet, but i do hope they'll honour it. but with over 3000 views to this thread, no doubt they won't be honouring every single order! or in fact any at all! seems that their T&C's have it covered. Ah wells. coulda done with a new TV

I too have ordered one -

But the price is not there to mislead - its a mistake.

I would have agreed if they had missed a certain digit e.g. £29x.99 and also if this misprice hadn't of happened earlier on the argos website.

I dont think this is a mistake and it is certainly misleading customers into thinking they have bought a new tv and dvd.

I also hope some people will kick up a fuss.

Does anyone know how much these are supposed to be, i know it's not 49p, but IF this comes off how much are we likely to have saved?
