Loads of onions

Dear all, I've got over 2 kilos of onions left from organic box deliveries. I use them as often as I can, but I can't seem to make a dent in my hoard of onions. Can anyone recommend recipes for which you use lots of onions? I thought of onion soup myself, but I need to look up a recipe. Thanks, this is a great board!

I first had one, done in a batter with a dip, in a restaurant in Montrose. It was amazing, but so big, that everyone else at the table, had to help me out. I couldn't be bothered doing it with batter, so found a recipe like the one on You Tube. Well worth trying, and really quite impressive as a starter.

(If you are ever in Montrose, Scotland, pop into Roos Leap for a rare treat).
