My long-haired grey/white puss is called Kizzy - there are two lots of people - those who think it's unusual and those who are old enough to remember Roots ........;)

When I was growing up we lived on a farm and only had outdoor cats (to be avoided & really just to keep the mice population down). My Mum for some reason called the females Granny and the boys Tom - we eventually got a house-cat called Ginger and yes, he was....!!
Yes....I remember Roots.....but I got the name really from the Little Gypsy Girl, Kizzy :)
  • We used to have a cat called Cookie - we also had 2 labradors at the time and she used to sit on the arm of the chair and take a swipe at the dogs as they were walking past. She also used to sit in the middle of the room and just stare at my brother, he hated it and used to shout at her, but she just answered him back every time. Never did it with anyone else only him

I like your name of Caramel, but I wonder whether it sounds "sharp" enough when you call it?

My cat is Sparky - she is a long haired Turkish Van, and has a short undercoat and because she didn't have a full topcoat, when we got her she had a sort of halo of really long fur sticking out and looked like she's been electrocuted...

I've had cats called Sooty, Mog and Vicky (?) but they were all rehomers so they came ready named. I also like Cookie.

My daughter has a dog called Cat, which I think is great, but I'm not sure it works the other way round!
