I love Ikea, I'm in part kicking myself for buying the very expensive chair etc as this rumour is now confirmed, but the thought of Ikea on a Saturday which is manic gives me the jitters, this just makes them worse, I doubt we'll be making the trip as for what I need I doubt it's worth braving the queues. Evening all, I've done nothing this evening except for soak my feet, massage my feet and paint my toenails. Just need to set DW and WM, do cat biscuits and off to bed. So not looking forward to a day of sorting the NCT stuff and then a visit from my mother - I may stay in bed all day!!!!!!!!1

soappie, hoe ever did you make all that moneyon eBay etc???????I want to do that too!

I got lucky ZZ. I renewed car insurance and stuff through Quidco which accounts for a small part and then the ebay stuff, well, about six years ago I bid on (and won!) an enormous box of old maps from a local auction house (so big, the catalogue said 'buyer collect' - I had broken my elbow at the time so it was an interesting time persuading the taxi driver to pick up me, the enormous box, drive me home and then bring the box into my house!).

I've been selling the maps off, one by one and have now recouped the initial outlay many times over. For stuff that was sitting in the loft :rotfl:

Also, when I go and do the weekly shop, anything I save at the supermarket (like bogofs, wine discount for buying x number of bottles, or special offers) I add that up and then transfer the equivalent sum from my current account to my savings account.

It's amazing how quickly it all grows.

I am now officially and definitely 100% pooped. I have decided (on the advice of a v. good friend of mine) that I shall have a real day off tomorrow and just chill. The utility room is finished and sorted and everything is back in place. Thank goodness! So, as that's one area done, dusted and sorted, I am at a good place to stop and take a breather. So I will.

My list from this morning is given below and stuff struck out as necessary.

    BEDROOM
    • Sort out makeup bag - chuck out stuff not used for years
    • Sort out jewellery bag - ebay anything not worn for years
    • [STRIKE]go to tip with mattress Haven't dont this yet, though it is in the car. I decided something from the utility area needed to go to the tip too but was sensible enough to realise it was too heavy for me to move out from it's position so waited until DS got in from work and he has moved it to the car for me. The tip will be visited tomorrow now.[/STRIKE]
    UTILITY AREA
    • [STRIKE]Paint walls[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Sort out carrier bag store[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Clean bookcase and books[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Clean floor[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]When floor dry, put everything back neatly[/STRIKE]
    KITCHEN
    • Clean woodwork
    • Paint woodwork
    • Remove everything from tops of cupboards and clean (i have a collection of teapots and old dishes etc. on the tops)
    • Clean tops of cupboards
    • Clean outside of cupboards
    • Clean walls
    • Paint walls
    • Put china back on tops of cupboards
    • Empty cupboards, clean them, fill them again.
    • Finally - clean kitchen floor

I don't actually know why I am still up, sat here watching UKTVFood which is just making me hungry, bad idea. I have to have DS2 at his clinic appointment at 10.30am so will have to get sleepy head up to look after DS1 (Sorry but if he can manage on a few hours sleep to go racing he can look after his son after much more sleep then go back to bed!!! <<can you tell I have changed my attitude a little lately? ) Anyway, DP also said 'those boys need to tidy their bedrooms tomorrow' so I said he can supervise it then :rotfl: he looked a little shocked.

    My list for tomorrow

As much of Pigpen's list as possible (will paste that in later)
Dailies inc vacuum through downstairs, dog stuff, meals etc etc
    DS2 take to appointment
Meal plan after a freezer check & fridge check
Shopping list - amend Mr T order as required (woohooo first £10 off voucher to work for a while)
Clear dining table (aka giant hotspot)
Clean utility - breakfast bar, floors, washer front, FF front etc
    Tidy living room
Sort through OU books and papers I have yet to put away :o
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
