luby hope your little ones are feeling better soon

    mrsmortenharket (Lisa) welcome :D

Dusty I think July is the deadline for new students with Sept start.

soappie give yourself a break, that's more than enough for today, enjoy that G&T!!

Tia, hope you and your DS are ok. Maybe lock the room it's in when you are not in there?

johanne, a lot seem to be finding their DD wouldn't cover their bills, great way of the companies forcing you to stay if you end up owing a massive debt and going on a payment plan. Oh have you seen the flim Nim's Island advertised? It's got a beardy on it :rotfl: I think in the book it was an iguana but they have put a beardy into the film, he's called Fred so my DSs are well impresed. Just hope it doesn't mean people will buy one because of the film and not look after them properly or use them in a catapult!

Alan Shearer Centre was brilliant, the boys used the sensory rooms, ball room, TV room, hydrotherapy pool etc and they loved it. Could just see the joy in DSs reaction. Got DS2s glasses from the Metro Centre and changed my belt for a smaller one (now that has to be a good sign!) Had to stop DP loosing his temper with some old guy who walked into DS2, DS2 was walking in a straight line the guy wandered across in front of where he was walking and pushed him over as he said 'bloody kids' what an ignorant pig, but anyway I was too busy worrying about DS2 and didn't want DP getting in bother for challenging the ignorant old ****. Came back, got boys hair cut, got home about half an hour ago so had time to swap washer/TD over (not much sun here must be all in Pollybear's area!) check emails and that is about all so far....

I'm now VERY tired, possibly because of relaxing in the sensory room just before we left the centre, I was so relaxed I could have fell asleep. Unfortunately DP is sound asleep now so I can't have a snooze. Think I might price up
some of the kit tonight and consider making one in DS1s room bit by bit, he loved a vibrating pillow they had but he usually hates things that vibrate,
One day I might be more organised...........

got a portion of chips and walked home eating them out of the paper :rotfl:

That is exactly what DS2 and 3 were doing on the way home from the optition - funny that you did it too as I usually always so no but they had been so good.

DS2 has moved the massive pile of hazel from back to front in payment for the £3 extra to get his ball (gift vouchers from his birthday) so that is a job I don't have to do.

DS1 has finally started to revise for his KS3 exams.

Dinner cooking, feel shattered. I've done so little flying but house is at least tidy and I've done loads of out of house jobs.

Tomorrow I will be spending all day sorting out the toys to sell at the NCT sale on Saturday.

Serena is your DD due home today or will it take until tomorrow? Hope she has had a fab time and more importantly is well.

    Soappie well done you!

Tia OMG:eek: they sure are sent to try us!

DS1 and I are having a few jersey royals with our tea as a treat from the farm shop. Really expensive but he loves them - the other 2 are getting pasta - they don't like them.

Has anyone had the outside of their house painted recently? Could you give me an idea of costs?

When the outside of this place was done 10 years ago, I'm sure it only cost about £500.00. Upstairs (I only own the ground floor) has been getting people in to quote (we will split the cost 50/50).
He's had one quote in so far and it's £3000.00

I know the eaves are tricky and elaborate and it is quite big and tall but that seems a tad excessive to me. But then I may well be out of touch and prices may well have gone up 600% in the last 10 years.

Sorry, I don't know painting prices soappie. I'm impressed with you getting up to do the ceiling in your utility room....that sounds high and scary. Bet you're glad it only needs two coats.

I think DH has been shamed into doing his study tonight as the rest of the house is tidy. He's working at the local office all week so is here to do the long lists I give him each night:rotfl: .

Found out today that DH's work's medical insurance will pay for physio for me. The hospital said I didn't need it but I can't bend my palm down towards my forearm at all and I can't hold my left hand in the prayer position (not that I need to but you know what I mean). I know it's early days but i'm not hanging around incase it's a case of the earlier the better. I'll phone my doctor in the morning xx

Hi dusty - and thank you for asking! I had a text from DD this afternoon to tell me that they were actually on the plane, and then told that there was a problem and they had to get off. They are spending the night in a 5 star hotel, and leaving tomorrow morning. So she should be back about 4pm tomorrow if it all goes smoothly. There was a problem with her phone, it won't charge, so she put her SIM card in a friend's phone to text me. Apparently she hasn't been well for four days now, but is being given some medication. She sounds really miserable, she just wants to be at home, and I'm trying not to worry because it won't achieve anything - I just want my baby girl back!

Busy day today, nipped downtown first thing to move money into bank account to cover deposit for holiday. Then helped DS1 with his coursework - now very nearly finished, just the references and bibliography, plus a one side summary of the company's history to do.

After lunch I cleaned the bathroom to Level 3, and washed all the towels, followed by a couple of hours on the allotment. This has also been flyladied! I have finished clearing all the weeds from the fruit area and covered with woodchips. I nearly finished weeding the new raspberry bed as well, and will finish and woodchip next time I go down. It's now almost the way I want it to be! Just have to get everything growing now!

mudbath - I think physio is a very good idea. By the way, your money mantra went slightly off course in this household. I'm spending loads of money, and DS1 has not only made £70 on ebay, but has also won two belts, three t shirts (all 'labels') and two CD's!! Can I have another mantra my way please!!

Johanne - I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.

pigpen - as I always say to my children - What's the worst thing they can say? No. Okay. Then you can always ask again, or ask someone else. And remember that no doesn't mean 'I don't like you', it just means no, I can't have a drink tomorrow. So, go for it!!
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be

Money is coming easily to the serena household and they are finding it really difficult to spend money, really, really, really difficult. I bet you can't wait for dd to get home.

By the way - though I take a 10% commission on incoming money don't provide a 10% donation towards money spent!!!!

Pigpen - i've turned my car round and am heading home....I hit the last road towards your house and was suddenly hit by the most awful stench, a bit like a kangaroo's pouch!!

I've just done another parafin wax dip on my wrist and massaged it for 15 minutes. I think i've just over done it a bit today. I'm not working tomorrow so i'll be a bit more careful. In fact, I might take a parrot.

I need to plan for dd's birthday sleepover on Saturday. It should be fun. Just done another wash and will dry and hang tomorrow. Sleep well everyone xx
