Pigpen, I am drooling over a 3 bed house and playing with Ikea room planner to see what my 'new kitchen' could be like
well, kind of cringing over the state of it right now and drooling over what I could do to it!
I need to tidy my living room. Kids are in bed watching a DVD (in the new house they won't be as the tv will be in the 'play room'. They want to sleep in the same room and have the other room for their toys).0 -

Evening ladies
Have managed to have a bit of a read So hope everyone ok
Mudbath - glad you had the cast off and that it wasnt too painful
Tia - you did well on your shopping trip and keep drooling, my OH has decided we need to think about moving but we ave so much to finish on ours before we can consider it. Plus I wish our house prices were as good as that. Think I might start looking around, trouble is I like being close to town but its becoming somewhat multicultural (understatement of the year) all around us.
embb - you sound like you had a really good chat, youre sending positive vibes so hope they remain
chunky79 - sorry to hear little ones still poorly and i hope the other prob gets sorted, I'm sorting mine by sending OH to get sorted snip snip :rotfl:
pigpen - dont suppose your wriggly lapwarmer was furry as well was it
lilme - hope the assignment is going well ans fingers crossed for delivering on time
Johanne - no word from you for a little while - anything happening?
So far no cleaning but have done a full days work and cooked tea, counselled DD who has no friends and has also been in trouble from her teacher for sending emails about sex and stuff to her school pals (theyre all aged 9  ) and came home to find DS has a girl in her room (1st time) with her head in his lap (but face up) and she's 15 with dyed black hair! Hope she's not a goth or something as DS would look pretty stupid if he dyed his black he's always been white blonde. Need to set some ground rules with him later I think.
Determined to watch waking the dead 2nd part tonight so might just clear the kitchen then do some ironing (ouch that word hurts)
TTFNMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

Nope.. they were drying in the radiators after getting caught out by the hail
And we are the ethnic minority down our street there are about 5 houses with british born people living in them.. 90% are polish now I think.. I am thinking of changing the streets name to 'Mr Sheen road' .. I do actualy really like it.. I think it is great the children get to experience other cultures and learn that just because they are from another country doesn't mean they are 'different'.
During the world cup there were 2 very very tall women strutting down the street with their Trinidad and tobago flags draped around their shoulders walking one way.. on the other side of the road walking in the opposite direction were 2 men with huge union Jacks round their shoulders.. it looked like some carnival!! They both cheered for each others team as they crossed and congratulated each other on how well each other was playing (I wouldn't know I can't abide it!) Then we had the 'Spawn of southern england' (students who think they are the doggie danglies) making an almighty noise in the street at all hours.. until we did it back... beating them out of bed at 4am wasn't quite what they had in mind and they sure as heck didn't like it.. never had a peep out of them again.. lol
The only thing I don't like about having a culturally diverse street is.. when most of the people are having domestics I don't know what they are yelling about and I am infernally nosy!!!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Tia - it looks fab!!! And its a corner site, so presumably you'd be able to stick on a 2 storey extension? Sorry, getting carried away, its just thats what one of Mums neighbours are doing with a very similiar property0 -

Now I'm totally lost as I thought you were talking about your cat :rotfl:
and I just think we're unlucky in that the houses in our terrace are huge and are let out by the room. The one next door but one is 4 bed, 3 reception rooms but there are about 15 Latvian and Lithuanian living in it including children and they are so disrespectful to the neighbours. They play loud music until 4/5 in the morning, bang on the neighbours walls, hang cans up in the gateway and shoot at them with air pistols (god help anyone walking past when they miss) park across our access lane at the back as they're too !!!!ed to park properly when they shouldnt even be driving - I could go on but it wont change anything. We're also opposite the college so eventually the families will get fed up and move out and the whole terrace will become HMO's which is such a shame with such fabulous houses. This is one for sale where I am but its been up for ages http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-7202547.rsp?pa_n=1&tr_t=buyMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0
