I can tell you what this is:-
O16 - DPF: ServerPushBox - http://82.153.180.41:50001/servp14.cab , it is a link that requires authentication to access the webcam on top of the coastguard station in Swanage run by Swanage Council. Nothing more sinister than that. The 08 thing I don't know, so maybe it's not worth running again as you say?.

Have a good flight, wherever you off to.

It is exactly what we wanted, but espresso wants you to download and install from the second link in my post and then to produce the log from there.
Not sure why, but I'm sure he'll tell us. ;)

So why did you give the second link? I was simply trying to help the thread along while you were not here to answer the question and repeating the info in the Malware removal sticky post #4. Is it not best to install HJT in it's own directory, so that any changes that are made can be reversed if they cause any problems?

-Maybe you felt that I was being sarcastic....

If fact I don't know if there is a difference, so I posted both and waited for feedback.

By your reply I thought you knew the answer, so I deferred to you.

    Never mind, not a problem.

Tired, just back from the Netherlands.

Seems like a clean log(other than the ZNfox entry). Not sure about that one.

Any less tired people out there?

It is my belief that this new improved version of Norton AntiVirus 2008, is slowing me down. Could this be so?

The machine takes much longer to get fired up.

Some sites are taking longer to load.

    Pictures are arriving slower.

It is back to you my friends to give your opinions on this.

If you think that this new version IS the reason, I am quite happy to un-install it and use a free version of something else which is reliable, easy to install and runs effortlessly as I would not feel comfortable having to make changes to the system set-up.

As far as I know NIS 2008 is less of a hog than previous versions.
As posted before you really need more memory, as 256Mb is hardly enough for XP to run let along many applications.
Your PC will be continually dumping memory content to and from your hardrive slowing down the machine.

You could try running Ccleaner and defragmenting your hardrive to see if this improves things a bit.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Is it configured to scan on boot up?

Do you have the anti-phishing switched on?
