I have bought the Morphy Richards Fastbake one from lxdirect for my wife for Christmas. Can someone pls tell me if it comes with the necessary ingredients for your 'first loaf' and, if not, what do I need to buy as I'm sure my wife will want to try it out asap.

    Thanks,

I was just wondering about the people who got the discount on the BM, how long did it take for the money to go back into your account?

I got my BM today & checked my bank account just now & its say that £43.50 has been taken out, nothing has gone back into my account & the money was taken out yesterday

I can't afford £43.50 so will have to send it back if i'm not going to get the discount :(

    Praying this baby makes it.
  • I have been waiting for five weeks for the discount from LXDirect when I placed my first order using a first time buyer code. I have had to phone three times and yesterday, yet again, was told it would be in my bank account in the next 7 days :(

    Oh right, thanks for replying.

Do you think i should wait or should i call them?

I don't really want to start using it until i know i got it at the reduced price, £43 is just too much for me to pay out for a BM.

  • My refund actually went in before they took the money out - it was all on the same day, anyhow.

    Hi Sparkly.
I once bought a cheap BM from Asda, but returned it after about 3 or 4 attempts were awful.
I've now borrowed a Breville Compact from a colleague and just had my second attempt turn out horrible (although to be fair, I have no manual and have used a recipe found on internet - it may be okay with correct recipes).
I think I'm going to bite the bullet and buy the Panasonic that everyone raves about. It may be expensive initially, but eventually it will pay for itself. I've only wasted money on ingredients so far.
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)
  • Hiya Sparkly

Im planning on buying a Panasonic becuase they are ment to be the best so im trying to 'rob peter and pay paul' in order to save up for one but ive just found this bargain on gumtree
