hi all
Well I got the hint the other day that my mates are sorry they never bought me a present, is there anything I want as a delayed B-day present
I said, I cant t/hink, but leave it with me
Then I thought, can I get a BM? Is there any cheap enough.
Id like one that kneads for me, do any of the cheapie ones do that? I guess they have a budget about 25 quid, but Im happy to put about the same in, to get something worthwhile.
Or shall i wait and get the much priased panasonic?

Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

I got the Morphy Richards stainless steel fastbake one from lxdirect last week for £14.50 - it is currently on sale for £40 rather than £69, and then I used two codes I found on the discount forum and paid with my visa debit card. It's a Christmas present for a family member.
I was worried the codes wouldn't work as Littlewoods charges you full price and then credits your bank account with the discount. As returns are free I thought I'd chance it and return it if it didn't work, but it did!! It is this one.
The Morphy Richards Fastbake came in second in the recent Which? report trials, the Panasonic was first.
Maybe someone else can get the good deal too. I am not guarenteeing it will work for anyone else!! But it did for me!:T
I love my Panasonic - I had a different model MR breadmaker that wasn't nearly as good. I am dying to try out the MR Fastbake to see how it compares but that wouldn't be very nice as it is a present...I wonder if she would notice...:happylove0 -
I think you should try it out ... you're just checking to make sure it works properly, after all! :rotfl:
Then you can tell us how it compares to the panasonic:T

They all knead for you - that's the point of them
You just chuck the ingredients in, set the timer, and come back to a gorgeous loaf............Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
god i never knew, that they ALL kneaded for you :T
OMG thanks thistledown for the tips for the MR one, Ill give that a whirl today, and get them to buy me something more erm luxurious :rotfl::beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Hi Thistle-down,
Thank you so much for your post! :j :j :j
I have just ordered the MR fastbake for £14.50 too. I've been putting off buying a breadmaker in case I'd use it once and it would end up gathering dust at the back of a cupboard........... but at that price I decided I couldn't afford not to buy it! Thank you again! :T :A
A very excited,

I saw the white version on sale in Tesco's yesterday for £40 too. It's a very good little machine - I've had it for ages (although I paid £60 at the time!)0 -
I haven't got 1 but noticed a Kenwood BM for £25.00 in my local Sainsburys yesterday - thats Newbury Park, not a million miles from you lynzpower, the also had a Morphy Richards Fastbake (Stainless Steel) for I think £40.
Am I right in thinking that its the Morphy Richards that doubles up as a Jam maker - that might sway me to find the extra.
Let me know if you want me to check out the Kenwood next time I'm there.Peek-a-boo0 -
Hi Mamabear,
The Morphy Richards does make jam, at least it says that in the blurb.
