I just did a search for 'credit' and got 4 results with the main site search plugin.

Re-did it a minute later and got a full page

thought the way the search is on this site, I'm more likely to believe that it is the site that is at fault icon9.gif

i know and have found one way to fix this but this requires an intimediary file somewhere that changes the url...if anyone knows how to get the search function to call a local file eg action="file://c:/...." then let me know and i can fix it to do it locally the problem comes that the mse search url is
    https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?searchXXXXX

and the search extension append either a "=" or "key=value" i have yet to find a way to suprress the "=" without the use of a html/php file doing a redirect.

I've been using FF for ages and the search has always worked perfectly for me too.

Which OS and FF version are you using? I have XP and FF version 1.0.6 and it just will not work.

but do you mean the search at the very top of the page, or the one that's part of the forum bar (In between New Posts and Quick Links)
