I haven't a clue! We are veggie so it tends to be something different every year. I will do loads of roasties as we all love those, and roasted veggies as they are easier and tastier than doing various pans of boiled/steamed ones.
Only DH and I like Christmas pud, so I will do one for us, and a chocolate pud for the children, but we will probably eat that in the evening when we might be feeling slightly peckish again!
When I was younger my mum would do a huge dinner, then in the evening there would be more food .
For Boxing Day my mum used to make a large mince pie and serve it with nutmeg sauce, which was yummy, but as my children are rather odd and don't like dried fruit :rotfl:(I could live on the stuff) I might make a nice vegan trifle.

Every year something difference. Only me and the parents this year so duck, last year there were 7 of us and had rib of beef - we are having that when friends come on Christmas Eve. Venison when my sister and her partner comes.
ALways loads of nice fresh veg. Last year carrots and swede, roast parsnips, mash. roast spuds, cauliflower cheese and of course brussels. Probably not as much on Christmas day but we will have the full lot when my sister visits!
No turkey!0 -
There'll be 5 of us for Christmas this year...
Starter - h/m chicken liver parfait (a very smooth mousse-like pate)
Main - roast goose with h/m sausagemeat & apricot stuffing, roasties & veg
Pudding - h/m Christmas pud, followed by h/m mince pies
We'll also do a piece of gammon for cutting (Nigella's gammon in ginger is very festive!)0 -
There will just be three of us I think this year. HM tomato soup with HM rolls for starter, turkey with all the trimmings and lots of various veg, dessert - my son has chosen ice cream surprise for us (we don't like xmas pud) and he'll make it so I won't have to lift a finger there. He'll raid the freezer for whatever ice-cream we have, put a scoop of each in a glass, add sauce, sprinkles, a dash of squirty cream and a wafer and dessert is served. It will also save me from having too much cheesecake or pavlova or trifle left over to eat.I won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead

When it comes to Christmas Lunch I am a traditionalist and it has to be Turkey, sausage and bacon rolls, stuffing balls, roast and boiled potatoes, sprouts and carrots, for pud we will be having Christmas Pudding and cream.I serve Christmas Lunch at 1pm so that I can get doneand my backside plonked on the sofa for the rest of the day. Also I like to give the kids chance to eat as much choccie as they want but they have to wait until they've had their christmas lunch to dive in. Christmas Tea will be Turkey or Ham sandwiches with sausage rolls we usually dont want a lot as we are still stuffed from lunch

no starter, never see the point, unless we have a load of guests. diabetic veggie mum coming though so she is having veggie pate en croute for her main, no sprouts bcos it makes my m,ilk funny and upsets my babys tummy
but roast and mashed spuds, sausages in bacon, yorkshire puds, gravy, stuffing - LOTS!!! Turkey for us meat eaters, carrots, peas and whatever other veg we have about, hm cranberry sauce, chestnuts, then after xmas pud with ice cream (both hm)
